    Arrow WTB uber Gaming Mouse

Past 2 mice have crapped out on me, and I need a new one for DFO. Have been heavily into CoD4, so I know what I'm looking for.

I'm definitely getting a mouse with a cord (wireless just doesn't cut it for FPS). I'm not personally familiar with any of these mice, so I'm asking you all; I'm looking at:

    Razer Lachesis $80
    Razer Deathadder $40 (ftw?)
    Logitech MX518 $40
    Logitech G5 $50
    etc...

There have only been 2 or 3 forumfall threads on gaming mice, and none have gone too far into details that I can make any kind of decision. I think this would help many people besides myself who are prepping for launch.

    Things I'm concerned about:

Side buttons in a good place?
    Too light/heavy?
    Too sensitive/sluggish?
Fits well to your hand? For a big/small hand?
Optical or laser? (btw, which is better for gaming? I hear optical is...)
Mouse-click too loud? (I hate loud clicking, but usually experience it only on cheaper mice)
Other features that help in gaming, such as on-the-fly sens adjustment?

    Thanks.

I got a nice mx518 optical mouse. Fits well, has two buttons on the thumb area and 3 buttons on top (2 for sensitivity adjustment and one programmable).

Cyber Snipa Stinger mouse. So far I couldn't ask for anything more then what it offers. I'm happy that I bought one.

Go with the DeathAdder. Awesome price for a quality Razer mouse.

I agree. This mouse is better than the Razer I had and its shape is rather comfy.

I've got an MX518 too, love it.. it's perfect for an mmo, on the fly sensitivity adjustment is a great idea. If you're used to a super-sensitive mouse, this one might not satisfy you, but it works fine for me. Its max dpi (1800 i believe) is plenty for my uses. Pair it up with an Ideazon Merc Stealth keyboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823161028 for a nice gaming setup.

The DPI only matters up to a certain point. Otherwise you sneeze and your character does a 360 turn.

I prefer a lighter mouse, and I tend to grip it with only the tips of my fingers (palm not touching) when I move it. I have smaller hands. I think I'm leaning toward Razer because of this.

I'm looking at the Lachesis (found it for $60), and it's got a siren song going in my head....

But I'm concerned about the location of the side buttons. They look like they sit right where my thumb would rest.

Anyone with a Lachesis have any negatives about it?

Ankh, I read in a review that the clicks are rather loud? Is this so? And does it bother you?

Hrrm, I haven't really thought about it, so it hasn't bothered me. I wish I had another mouse here to compare it to, can't tell you otherwise.
