    Default Fallout 3 impressions

If anyone has been playing Fallout 3, what is it like? ive been hearing mixed reviews. All say the game is awesme, but many say that it's buggy as hell. Ive been waiting to buy this game but now im thinking Far Cry 2 might be a better choice.

    Anyone?

Buy both! Fallout 3 is pretty sweet, I play on a 360 and I haven't found anything buggy yet... I hear the PS3 doesn't handle it so well, but I don't know. Far Cry 2 was a good game, graphics were great...

I am playing the PC version and it is quite buggy. I was crashing when I loaded a game or every 10 minutes. I updated my drivers and lowering the graphics to see if it helps though I was getting no fps lag.

It basically a much better Oblivion in brown. It's quite good though the controls and inventory are exactly the same as Oblivion for the most part.

I'd get it over Far Cry 2. You'll get much much much much more playtime out of Fallout 3.

It's awesome. I haven't encountered any bugs though. It's fun playing as the inexplicetly evil asshole.

I've been playing Fallout 3 since release and have had no problems, except for the game crashing every time I exit which almost isn't a bug.

But I do recommend Fallout over Farcry, Farcry falls short in so many ways.

Nothing like walking up to a Super Mutant and punching his head off with some spiked brass knuckles. Or blasting the head off a Yai Goi as they leap at you with a plasma rifle.
I will always think you're wrong, even if I know you're right.

Oh, well there was one bug.

During character creation, you go through your childhood. Theres one part where it's your tenth birthday, and in the room their is two doors. One is supposed to be locked, but I could go through it the first time. It took me to an area where you can't go until you are in the nineteen year old phase, but there was still stuff I couldn't do because I was a child, meaning, I couldn't leave the vault or return to the room I was in, therefore, I was stuck. I also couldn't use my BB gun, so I got eaten by radroaches.

Fallout 3 is a great game.

It's best the game I've played in years.

It's crashes all the time but I'm enjoying it so much I don't care at all.

You might like fallout if you haven't played the previous games. If you're like me, and have played fallout 1&2 and actually know something about the fallout world, you'll fucking hate it.

I haven't played fallout 1 or 2, got Fallout3 for 360 and really like it. I beat it already, the ending is kinda sudden and ends the game so you have to go back a ways in your saves if you want to continue. Really this game took the system that was established in oblivion and made it actually work. Fallout3 is very fun, but I suggest you just rent it, not worth buying if you just want to complete it, its not that long.

I played all of them and I think this is awesome, despite the fact that it isn't that similar (gameplay wise, the story fits good) and I LOVE this game.
