    Default Best gaming machine?

What would be the best gaming machine / fix out there? Also, is it bad to run a game on a laptop? Would it fry the machine?

Yes, running any game on any laptop automatically fries it, no exceptions!

I believe Unreal Engine and Havoc don't work well with laptops, but for the most part, it's fine to run games on them.

This is true, I once downloaded Wolfenstein 3D and figured I'd put it on the laptop to pass the time while traveling to Vancouver.

Good thing there was a fire extinguisher handy.. they should really put a warning on those things.

Also, go to newegg.com and find the most expensive things from every category and put it in a wishlist.

Oh ok. Well, what is Hacok and Unreal Engine? Games? I was wondering because my laptop gets really hot when I play WW3 on WC3 for an extended period of time.

Any game with the Unreal Engine (I.E. Unreal Tournament, Rainbow Six Vegas, Gears of War, ect) or Havok engine will run like shit for a few seconds and then it will crash. They aren't ment for laptops.

Correct, I once tried playing minesweeper at school, and the processor started smoking. Do NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PLAY A GAME ON A LAPTOP. A game which uses more resources might cause an extrathermal overheat in the device, which can in the worst case make it explode, sending fragments of the screen in your face.

Wow, so many trolls on this forum. I try to ask a simple question because I do not want to waste the money spent on my laptop, and you guys act like retards.

heroshade - Thanks for the help. I'm guessing DFO will not be using these engines.

I thought you were a troll so I was returning the favor.
Seriously, how could you think a laptop couldn't play a game?
There are so many variables that I just thought you were being an idiot on purpose, but now I see you were just being an idiot, because you are.

I'm not trolling you. I'm just having fun at your expense. There's a difference.

Nearly all of Dells top end laptops for the last few years, can play any of the games out for the given period of time. I have several friends that buy laptops so they can play MMO's or any other games while they are at work. Often thier laptops play better then my desk top. My desk top is about average to high average even to todays standards.

Durr durr durr, can one of them laptop machines run computer programs?

I would advice against a laptop if al you want to do is to play games, there is no such thing as a gaming laptop, a laptop is prety much half the preformance for double the money spent.
