Default Taking the ACT tommorow, any tips?

Anyone here taken it that'd like to share some wisdom? I just did the SAT last weekend and I utterly destroyed the reading and writing sections (finished with upwards of 6 minutes left on most of them, didn't have to guess), but I did decent at best on the math section. Probably because the highest math classes I've had are basic algebra and geometry. Honestly all I know about the test is it's more literacy oriented and that a lot of seniors I knew told me to take it.

its not wise to drink massive amounts of alcohol have two bitchez all night and no sleep before one, least thats how i remember it. Oh and having breakfast is probably a good idea too instead of walking in there with pussy breath and a snickers bar.

Eat a chocolate bar. It will give you a short burst of energy to think faster. All the great chess players do it.

I also heard salmon is good for something test related, but that requires cooking so you may not be interested.

I have not taken the ACT...but since you seem to be good at the verbal sections, maybe practice your Math?

I'm not stressed about it, just wondering if anyone who has taken it had any advice. It's never a bad idea to collect extra advice, plus I figured I'd at least get a cheap laugh or two out of it.

Write down "Skree" where it says "Enter Name"

Hopefully the person grading your paper will be an avid Darkfall fan and will understand the reference.

Seriously though, the ACTs are really easy if you are good at science and math. Take your time, you usually get more than enough time for each section.

OH, and abuse your calculator. Write cheat notes in the programs section of your TI-82. Formulas and other stuff.

Random vague knowledge is always good for anything but you should just go look at ACT sites that have practice tests and see what you don't do good at. Like if you do bad at the science formulas memorize them. And if you think you did well on the SAT then you'll do fine on the ACT the math isn't as hard and it's closer to the standerized tests that you take yearly in school. Oh and sleep.

I thought the ACT was alot easier - it's shorter and less of a pain. The Science section is basically knowing how to read graphs, that's it.

I'm SO glad I'm over all that testing shit, 1980-something, baby.

Finish the practice tests, put formulae into your calculator.

Sleep and eat well, drink a cup of tea.

Arrive early with something to distract yourself while you wait and after the test is finished, such as a book.

Don't rush yourself. Use a Number 2 pencil. Review the questions after you've finished.

Check your answer sheet and make sure that you filled everything in correctly.
