tsk tsk, looks like you have no where to play WoW anymore. Best just let your parents take care of it.

I'd hope you don't have any of the electronics right on the floor. If you do, I guess you are screwed.

Either way get a shop vac, or hire a carpet cleaning company to come suck up all that water. You'll prolley want to pull the carpet up and air out the padding so you don't get mold under it. After it all dries clean it up and see if you need to replace the carpet or if its cool still.

If you have insurance and anything is damaged then I suppose you'd want to call them as well.

Now you know you'll get flooded now and than. Plan accordingly and keep shit at least a few inches off the floor. Get crates or something to put your boxes on in your storage room, and try to keep all electronics, even the wires off the floor as well.

As Jangang said a wet/dry shop vac is the easiest method. If you have a very powerful one 4+ HP it will suck most of the water out of your carpet. You can then set up several fans to dry what little is left.

I can't overstate how important it is to pull up the carpet and let the padding dry. (Using fans as stated by someone else) If you get a bunch of mold under the carpet you'll have to replace it. Not to mention the health problems that can come from living with mold.

Go get a shop vac and clean that shit out. Get some fans and keep them on down there to dry it out faster and prevent mold.

The carpet will probably be ruined.

If you get storms like that often, I'd look into getting an interiour waterproofing system installed.

Nub, I am not 41, but I do live in my parents basement. I'm 19 and I'm simply home from college for the summer. Also, I will rape your soul.

    Really?

I think the nation would say go buy a fucking sump pump...if the nation was really interested in you.

Or perhaps it would argue the virtues of the towel and bucket. The controversy could split the nation.
