    Default McClellan book

Lots of stuff in his book and in this article the parts about the news media admissions demostrate corporate control of the media.

CNN’s correspondent Jessica Yellin, appearing on the cable news network Wednesday night, acknowledged that news executives—she later clarified that she was referring to MSNBC, where she worked in 2003—pressured her and others to “put on positive stories about the president.” She added that “they would edit my pieces...they would turn down stories that were more critical.”

Yellin explained, “The press corps was under enormous pressure from corporate executives, frankly, to make sure the war was presented in a way that was consistent with the patriotic fervor in the nation and the president’s high approval ratings.”

Patriotic ferver they lead and perpetuated. While most Americans and the rest of the world oposed the war.

So much for the "liberal" press bullshit. It's not liberal it's corporate. One has to be a bit different (appear more conservative or liberal) from the other to sell listners.

Anyone with a brain and some common sense realizes this, because it's obvious as day. News media in the U.S. went from being free of corporate control and liberal and honest after the vietnam war. Because it was that liberal media that brought the true and honest horrors of war to people's homes, and because of that media the image of the war went horribly wrong. And you know the rest.

Since then the government, the military, and the corporate executives have worked together or individually to never let this happened again. There is no more journalism, just new entertainment and propaganda.
