I'm honestly at a loss for words as to why anyone would actually be against fast food places displaying calorie counts. To be honest, it seems like a no-brainer.
Everything that comes prepared or pre-prepared from a grocery store has a calorie count listed. So, why not require the same from fast food places? The only reason to not show calorie counts is the fear that people might eat less food from fast food places if they knew that their large combo contained 1,500 calories - or about 75% of the calories they should probably be consuming that day.
The problem isnt with the law itself, it's with the inspectors that are going to be paid what? 50 to 75k$ a year to inforce that law and also the council members and shit that are paid probably 90k a year. Wasting 1 to 4 weeks over this is a waste.
