If it was just that, we would simply buy it, not block their sales with sanctions (increasing the price)....

Anglo Americans (or, better, the lobbies that parasite them from decades) like to rule the world, and since they had just waged a war in the name of Democracy and World Love (WWII against Germany), they had to come up with a smoke screen system called NeoColonialism="I rule the world but you cannot prove it..actaully it is DEMOCRACY and Business...MY business"...whoever does not comply to their bidding, as good puppets, is somehow persecuted...Iran has managed to get rid of their puppets and try to remain independent...and even dared to help others in this quest...

Who says Iran is independent. You act as if Russia and China don't show increased interest in various resources? If a country has oil, it is in bed with one of the bigger powers, it's as simple as that.

So show of increased interest makes Iran a puppet nation for China and Russia?

Sure they sell oil. Oil certain interests will make war to get a hold of. Coincidently propping up their interest of death industry while they're at it.

Mohammad Mosaddegh or Mosaddeq (Persian: مُحَمَد مُصَدِق‎, IPA: [mohæmˈmæd(-e) mosædˈdeɣ] (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...r_Icon.svg.png listen)*), also Mossadegh, Mossadeq, Mosadeck, or Musaddiq (16 June 1882 – 5 March 1967), was the democratically elected[1][2][3] Prime Minister of Iran from 1951 to 1953 when he was overthrown in a coup d'état orchestrated by the British MI5 and the United States Central Intelligence Agency.

An author, administrator, lawyer, prominent parliamentarian, he became the prime minster of Iran in 1951. His administration introduced a wide range of progressive social and political reforms such as social security, rent control, and land reforms. [4] His government's most notable policy, however, was the nationalization of the Iranian oil industry, which had been under British control since 1913 through the Anglo-Persian Oil Company (APOC/AIOC) (later British Petroleum or BP).[5]
Mosaddegh was removed from power in a coup on 19 August 1953, organised and carried out by the United States CIA at the request of the British MI6 which chose Iranian General Fazlollah Zahedi to succeed Mosaddegh.[6]
While the coup is commonly referred to as Operation Ajax[7] after its CIA cryptonym, in Iran it is referred to as the 28 Mordad 1332 coup, after its date on the Iranian calendar.[8] Mosaddegh was imprisoned for three years, then put under house arrest until his death.
And that's the creation of the Islamic Republic of Iran for ya right there.

Could be, it's not like having puppet-government is strange to them. Could also be that either of the two are on really really friendly terms with the Supreme Leader.

It just brought it up because the US is not the sole player interested have a finger in the running of other countries.

Investment and trade is a lot nicer and preferred way of doing things rather than building military bases and leeching from a host country.

It's been recorded that many Africans prefer the Chinese to Americans for business and I have seen this as true in Mauritius.

Interested? So interests and actual invasions are now comparable?

The US is the, if not the only, then the primary nation by a long shot, willing to lie and kill to run other countries. Of course Israel's puppeteering of America's foreign policy isn't helping that fact.

You don't need to invade to install a puppet government. The US just loves doing everything Michael Bay style lately, likely to appease the "hardware" industry, but strictly speaking it is not necessary.

I know. Hence the Mohammed Mossadeq wiki.

But by all means. Find me something China and Russia did that can be fairly compared to the US "death for oil" program.

China is currently active in Africa with buying up lucrative contracts through private companies and providing financial aid to governments or non-governmental programs.

Although it is by large without any act of violence, the infiltration and control of resources is still happening. There is even a word for it, something with "soft" in it, but I can't remember any more.

The strange thing about the US its tactic, is the continuous act of destroying the existing infrastructure when going in.

I don't have a clue what Russia is exactly up to, but they do control part of the EU energy market through Gazprom.
