I called Swotor Free to play in six months before it released. Not surprised by this thunderous flop.

Next up on the MMO fail boat, TESonline.

cant wait for TES online, followed shortly after by failout online

these big faceless corps have way too much money on their hands to make proper design choices, perhaps after they sink another 1/2 - 3/4 billion dollars into the failing mmo industry they'll understand how to make games people actually -want- to play.

wow did the skinners box. you can't get those people back. the only thing that will kill wow is the death of wow itself. stop trying to steal people's souls again. blizzard can't even seem to replicate their original model, why would you even try to? hubris of executives is showing...

If it's possible...this will be a bigger failure than SWTOR.

    Sums it all up.

SWTOR is World of Warcraft but with a Star Wars theme. These mass media companies/game corps. really need to diversify and hire better talent. Apparently everything that Blizzard, EA, etc releases has to be an exact mimic of its predecessor.

This is why I've come back to Darkfall. I can't stand that crap!

They're running out of popular IPs to exploit for shitty WoW-style MMO games. After TES and Fallout, we might get a few years off while they invent another shitty fantasy series and wait for it to become popular enough to ruin.

That's of course unless Planetside 2 makes it big, in which case every shooter franchise will have a short lived failure of an MMOFPS game out there.

Unlike previous MMOs which did good initial sales and failed later, I'm willing to bet this one fails right from the getgo.

Swtor probably has one of the most retarded player bases of all time. I could dominate in pvp without even trying over and over again. I've never seen such lack of skill in a game, wasn't even a hint of competition when it came to pvp

I was thinking of playing again but was put off by the sub fee. Now looking at what free members get it looks like I still won't bother.

Limited access to PvP zones, limited access to group "flashpoints", zero access to "operations" (raids), no thanks.

I made a quick guesstimate and I'm happy to learn that EA lost like 200 millions doing that piece of shit.

Bumped it, but I'm fairly certain they'll drop it down when it comes on their main page too much.

Tortanic, good one, made me laugh for a second.
