    Default Swtor goes f2p

Now, we all saw that one coming, subscriptions were dropping since release. It's just a lot earlier than I expected.

I'm going to be honest and say that when I played SWTOR I actually had fun. Never got to the end-game though which according to some friends sucked dragon balls.
    Fuck you.

I honestly don't understand how. The story was terrible, and I personally only encountered about a dozen other players total during my entire time questing to max level.

I was really hoping to get an experience on par with KOTOR 3, but SWTOR completely fell flat.

    Told you so nah-nah, nah-nah

This is good, perhaps now developers realise that they shouldn't churn out the same run-of-the-mill garbage over and over. Innovate for fuck sake. SWTOR is a painfully awful game and they should feel bad for having developed it

I played to about lvl 25, and then took a break. I logged in after a 2 week hiatus and couldn't bring myself to fight my way down another cookie cutter corridor to click on some glowy thing and then return to a quest giver.

Marketing suits for publisher houses will likely look at this failure and say that MMOs as a whole don't deserve funding

I know it's a very long shot, but this is the first step to reactivating the SWG servers. <3

The problem with publishers is they don't care what fails, they only care what has succeeded, and as long as there is no large scale hardcore MMORPG that's succeeded (and EvE isn't large enough to count) we're screwed.

I suppose it's still a good thing when these WoW clones fail.. I'm just not convinced it's going to be enough to get a real AAA hardcore sandbox title.

    I hope I'm wrong.

Archeage may be the only hope for what you describe.

There's already a pre-NGE SWG emu server with a larger population than what the official post-NGE SWG servers had.

It will still bomb, terribly boring game, doesn't even compare to WoW.

I had fun with SWTOR. It is however a single player to which they introduced grinding and a load of meaningless and trivial missions and quests.
