At least it doesn't take as much memory as Steam does.

Has streaming/videos/screenshots uploaded straight to your profile if you want to, in-game messaging, and other features.

What a waste of time researching this, and making articles about it.

It is beyond idiotic to claim such a thing with only data from Xfire users...

How on earth do these kinds of research companies stay alive?

    Who uses xfire anyway?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xfire :
"Xfire currently has over 21 million registered users, with frequently over 250,000 users online.[2]"

I think that's a tiny fraction of gamers worldwide as most registered users probably don't use it, and it's not representative at all anyway of the PC market as a whole.
If a 1000 user poll is enough to determine who's going to be president, I fucking think 250 000 is enough to determine how it is for games at least where xfire is used a lot. That's probably why they removed asia.

It's not the size that's the problem, it's that it doesn't have a random sample of players. Political surveys do and they have to factor in the people they are unable to get an answer from in their calculation of statistical accuracy/significance. However if the sample had been a large part, f ex the majority of gamers/people, it would have been reasonably accurate despite not being random.
