Wonder if copy pasting passwords helps since I do that...

Nope. It is you. Obviously not using the fail-proof authenticator or you go to alot of naughty / bad sites and download Trojans and keyloggers.

    You should feel bad.

    Um....

    Authenticator isn't fail-proof.

If I get hacked, then I know for a fact that this is blizzards fault, I run malwarebytes and AVG every day, and I just ran malware now and it's fine, also I have an authenticator.

I was being sarcastic. There was a lengthy Reddit post and a Blizzard forum post where people pointed out that they used authenticator, played online singleplayer only, had strong passwords, didn't go to risky sites... Still stripped naked and all items sold and gold gone. Didn't matter.

I do believe there is a loop hole being exploited to get into players accounts. And from what I have heard, NO ONE is safe. It is only a matter of time before you get hacked.

The greater problem with this, is that there is real monetary gain to be made with these hijackings / hacks... The auction house is going to receive alot of stolen equipment and blizzard still stands to make a healthy cut of the item sales.

At least this what i read. I luckily never will bother with diablo3.

I went over to the forums and there is well written post explaining the possible ways they are getting hacked.

Maybe something to look at if you are victim.

What is weird to me is that when they supposedly had my password, why didn't they attempt to take my battlenet account as well? Blizzard claims nobody logged in on my account in-game or in-browser during the time I was robbed, which also struck me as odd. Only used that password on bnet, no keyloggers, never entered my info on phishing sites(at least 99% sure on this).

All of this leads me to believe there is a security loophole, but naturally it could also be that somebody has my password. I've got the authenticator now so we'll see if it happens again.

They're probably taking a loss on authenticators. I wouldn't be that surprised if the cost went exclusively to ship them.

This makes me really sad actually, isn't Blizzard capable of doing better than this? I mean I respect Blizzard a lot, they're a really good company, but how do they fuck this up this much

Mobile authenticator, so they're not making any money off it.

After a long back-and-forth they offered me one, but by then I had already gotten a new character almost to the same level + more gold than I had so I declined. At first they wouldn't give me a rollback because nobody had logged into my account.

Ticket. I think the main problem is that I got a different GM every response, so I had to repeat myself (even though the info was in the ticket already). Most people haven't had the same problems from what I've heard.
