Whats funny is that all the children found out the Ron Paul is the best choice and got their parents to vote for him.

It's pathetic how you people see an isolated incident and every time, without fail, you go for the cheap shop 1 liner.

I wouldn't really call it isolated. Public schools are generally taught by socialists to center-left minded individuals. Even when i was in school our teachers tried to mix their political views heavily in the curriculum. it's just in this case it was actually reported upon.

Even if that was true (and where I'm from it definitely is not) "taught by" is not equivalent to "forcing them to participate in biased political experiments"

If this wasn't an isolated, bizarre incident, it wouldn't be posted here and wouldn't have it's own special story. I've never seen, experienced or even heard of a teacher doing something like this and to say this is the norm and it's just not reported (and it definitely would be because there is no shortage of opposition) is just false.

Never said it was the norm but to call it an isolated incident just isn't true. Teachers mix their political beliefs in their curriculum all the time. Just because it's not always as obvious like in this case doesn't mean it doesn't happen a lot.

2 years ago I was part of the public education system, and there are definate clear-cut cases of teachers trying to include their political beliefs into their curriculum. For example, I had a SPANISH teacher once go off on a two-class period rant about how Ronald Reagon was bad.

I think you being part of the public education system and how you choose to spell "definite" is the most frightening part of that story.

Are you guys talking about Highschool or what? I hope we aren't confusing "a teacher who is clearly one party or the other" with "making his curriculum a campaign class".

Oh yes, lets get all nazi about grammar. While wording and grammar is one way to define intelligence, there are plenty of people who know what they are talking about without the best grammar in the world. Besides, spell check is making shit like that obsolete.

Highschool was what I was talking about, but middleschool would have counted as well. Shit, even elementary school is subject to it, but kids brains at that point in their lives have not developed to the point where they can discern whether a teacher is doing it or not. If you think about it, a biased elementary school teacher would be much more detrimental than middleschool/highscool teachers with a political agenda.
