Default Occupy Wall Street Rome, Italy 200,000 protest

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QApWKmqUhMU

    It's spreading nicely.

Capitalism in it's old greedy form will hopefully soon be dead.

Finally we might be able to force these greedy filthy rich to pay their taxes.

Hang the greedy motherfuckers in their bonus parachutes and force the filthy rich to pay their taxes.
The problem with these protests is that most of the protesters are just mad that their handouts are ending, and are merely pushing for the continuation of the welfare/police state status quo.

Sometimes I can't help wonder about your past. To exhibit such antagonistic attitude and take great pleasure in it (why else would you continue to persist when you know you are first wrong and second annoying everyone around you?) hints at very nasty psychological problems.

I am serious, Krag, you should really talk to a doctor. This is highly irregular.

it's not Occupy Wall ST. They coordinated their event but it's not. That movement is coming from protests in Spain.

The people in this thread seem genuinely misinformed as to what OWS protest are standing for.

Now granted these protest stand for a wide variety of things, ending capitalism is not the goal.

People want checks and balanced (transparency) for the top, people want fair capitalism, people want other successful people to keep their money. People don't want special handouts by the government aka "special interest", people don't want these 1% having a massive influence in government and policies created. If you would like to give your money to a particular organization, friend, coorporation, etc... by all means go for it, but why are unchecked government departments taking your money and deciding this for you. Why are they giving handouts to the 1% who are making bad business decisions, then bailing them out? Every small business would close under these circumstances, and that's a good thing. They would be unsuccessful in that attempt, but are free to try again. This is life, you are successful at times and unsuccessful in others, these 1% are getting some "too big to fail" bailouts thrown their way. It is literally fraud and the 99% are paying for it, endorsed by our government (who are heavily influenced and invested in by the 1% as it is in their best interest to keep it the way it is... their making great profits).

I am a strong supporter of the movement just due to the fact it strives to bring about awareness as to the corruption and flaws within our government and how the 99% (everyone) aren't being represented fairly.

    You are a retard.

The "Rich" are also the one people that create employment opportunity for mass amounts of Americans.

Get your socialist views out of American ideology.

You're correct in stating LEGITIMATE businesses help to create jobs. Luckily, legitimate businesses are the 99%. These protest are aimed at the corruption and ties between the 1% and our government.

This movement is not about moving to socialism or ending capitalism. This movement is about you and me the 99% being exploited. It's about money to all the places you you disagree with, whether that be social programs or super wealthy. Let the people decide, not unchecked government departments heavily influenced by this 1% of super elites, corporations that aren't playing by the books (well they are, they are just heavily influencing the rules we to play by, which happen to benefit themselves) feeding off others who are doing legitimate business.

People say they aren't being represented then vote the same damn incumbents into office year after year.

If you don't feel represented vote a new guy into office. I will be voting for very few incumbents in the primaries or the elections.

The problem with Congress is they want these huge bills instead of passing the parts they can agree on. The size of these bills needs to be much smaller and less complicated so us regular folks can actually know what they are doing. How many of them read these 1000 page bills before they pass them?

    This movement stands for transparency.

But the representatives while able to spew their political rhetoric and influence your vote, once in office, are either unable to change the system, or get caught up with it.

I do believe there is one candidate (for the US elections) who represents the people, who wants to rectify the wrongs, who stands for government checks and balances, who stands for legitimate business, who stands for individual rights and liberties.

Ron Paul. Don't believe me, look at his voting record. Listen to why he feels the way he does about his position on issues. It is a message of common sense and fairness for all individuals.

Btw, Ron Paul led the legislation to audit the Federal Reserve, which uncovered 16 trillion dollars in bailouts to US banks and corporations. Your money (assuming your a US citizen) being given to specific corporations in which you have no influence on.

Might be so but it's the same movement. Same agenda.
