Son, I don’t relish shooting a mosquito with an elephant gun, so why don’t you just shuffle along?

and brad pitt has really redeemed himself in the past few years, so this looks extra awesome.

The most visually stunning movie about the Tree of Life has to be the Fountain.

I'm not sure what The Tree of Life is about but The Fountain is perhaps about the voyage of geographical, scientific and spiritual discovery. The storyline set in the 15th century is about finding the location of the Tree of Life on the unexplored continent of America, the storyline in the present time (21st century) is about finding a cure to a disease, and the scenes set in the "bubble" (maybe depicting distant future) seem to tell a story of some type of enlightenment. All of these three stories are connected to each other.

Here's a quote from Pitt about the film

“Well, in a way. It’s this little tiny story of a kid growing up in the 50s with a mother who’s grace incarnate and a father who’s oppressive in nature. So he is negotiating his way through it, defining who he’s gonna be when he grows up. And that is juxtaposed with a little, tiny micro-story of the cosmos, from the beginning of the cosmos to the death of the cosmos. So that’s where the sci-fi, or the sci-fact, comes in.”
