    Default Pawn Stars

I got a call from a producer for some old books I put on Craiglist. I am going down to the store tomorrow.

Wish me luck!! It would be fun to make the show.

Have fun being ripped off lol. I've seen that show they rip people off worse than your random pawn shop on the corner.

Be sure to do zero research on what something is worth, that way you can be in good hands with the honest and reputable pawn broker.

It'll probably be one of those encounters where they go "Congratulations, your items are worth jack shit!" and the OP curses about it on national TV.

He actually gave me more than what I asked for.

That is pretty epic. I am a big fan of the show, and love watching people get haggled down. How did the negotiations go for you, and what did he pay you for it? I wouldn't usually ask, but it is going to be on national TV.

Damn its already over? You should have told the host how big of a h o m o he was. Then reminded him that the rest of his family is composed entirely of homos as well.

Except for the grandpa, that dudes a baller.

Really wondering what your asking price was and what they gave you for the yearbook.

I took the 1951 yearbook and a book on Japan from 1956. I was asking for $100 for both. I paid $80 for a bunch of stuff in a estate sale so I would be making money. (anyone collect old maps or stamps? PM me)

He said the Japan book isn't worth anything but the yearbook is worth $200-$250 so he gave me $150. He will probably sell it for $200. It's got some writing in it and some rips. He could of just given me the $100 I asked for but he was a nice guy about it. Now maybe it was because it was going to be on TV, maybe if it was off camera he would of given me the $100... who knows.

The whole thing is scripted, we did it over and over again and they will pick out what they want to show. We filmed from 7-9am. 9am on a Monday morning and there are 15 people in line waiting for them to open. They are making a LOT of money in that store.

I was happy and if I pick up anything alse I will take it over there. It was funny I had a guy e-mail from Craigslist about the yearbook the night before I went to the Pawn Shop. He offered 60 bucks and I would of took it too.

I got another Estate Sale this weekend to check out they are supposed to have a Mrs. PacMan cocktail table game. For the right price I will buy it and resell it. Maybe try and get on tv again at the Pawn Shop. I live 20 minutes from the store.

i hate when people sell things that are really old like on that english thing "the antiques road show" people are like "this was in my family for 400 years and given to us by the king of spain..." its worth 8k WOW ill sell it!"

Personally i'd rather have somthing that old and historic than the money its worth, like i have a ring that has been in my family for almost 160 years now given to each child in our family when they become 15 yrs old and i would never sell it no matter whati thinks its just too cool to do that, and to think i could give this to my son when im older and he do the same it would belike 200 years old then!

Summery of my point: history is more important than money (if you dont need it like if u have a job or whatever)
