Default Anyone internet-savvy that can help me?

The internet here at my dorm sucks. It may be isolated to my floor - not sure.

I want to move to the apartments across the street, but will the internet be any better? Will i be sharing it with the whole apartment complex? Thanks in advance for help.

No it will be MUCH better. Even if your dorm uses the same ISP as the apartments you are going to have your own connection to the internet as opposed to a single connection for your entire dorm/college. So like, yeah, you may be connecting through the same er pipelines in the appt as the one in the dorm, but it's a more direct connection and you'll DEFINITELY get a much more stable connection.

Like, I think I remember your other posts, you said you got like a good connection when you first moved in, then it went to shit when everyone started connecting right?

It should be as fast as when you first moved in.

DO IT MAN YOU CAN HAVEZ SHITTY INTERNETS! I would seriously pay $100's of dollars just for better internet so I recommend you do the same if you love downloading and gaming as much as I do. :P Dorm prices can't be that much cheaper then appts, are you gunna really spend that much more?

If you need any tips on living cheaply just ask, I'm like that old dude from the guild. JACKING KETCHUP AND NAPKINS FROM MCDONALDS FTW.

There is no black and white answer to this one.

Without knowing how the ISP is structured or how your campus network is structured no one can even guess with any accuracy.

Flip a coin and it will give you more accuracy than you will get asking here.

One thing to note is most metro areas have more then one ISP to choose from.

    No, I'm being serious.

Campus internet = restricted shared garbage with all kinds of lame filters and crap on them bogging them down to suck the fun out of them.

Move off campus = private sector internet access which is much faster unless you have a shitty ISP.
