Vanguard, like DF was a great game. I say was, because it died an ugly death due to all the hackers and bugs. The population rapidly dwindled. It would be a shame to have this happen with DF, as it too is a great game.
In DF favor is the fact that the devs listen. However, there continues to be so many people hacking and so many bugs that the frustration level is getting to be too high and there are already major guilds that recently left to play Aion.
I understand the policy of hackers/cheaters is that you have to be 100% certain, however, when you have rather brazen people posting their screenshots in the forum, and IN the screen shots are the hack progams they are running, and those people are STILL in the game, I'm not certain how you reach the 100% mark of certain. Additionally, there have been hundreds of reports sent in on the same people, and yet, those same people are still in game. At the end of the day, what you keep in subscriptions isn't worth the game dying. I for one would love to see legal action taken on those websites that sell those programs.
So, I guess my suggestion would be to focus on getting all the bugs out of this game and getting rid of the cheaters before you plan some huge expansion as you won't have any players left to even explore the new expansion. History does repeat itself, and Vanguard (along with numerous others) has provided the history for you.
