Which one is better for gaming?
Intel for me.

AMD's Phenom II processors are great bang for your buck.
Intel, although I have to admit I haven't compared the latest hardware. However, last time I built a computer Intel was so far ahead it wasn't even funny (note, I'm purely talking high end here, not cost efficiency).
Intel. If you pick AMD you're delusional, gay, or a fanboy. Viluin is all three.
AMD was good. For half a Intel CPU price you could get almost the same processing power. But that was yesterday , today AMD is going down the sink. Crappy expensive processors when compared to intel.
I really hope that AMD gets back up, whe need the competition, else Intel would be a monopoly and we would pay high prices for shit processors.
They're both great.
Intell is better since most program are writen to run in intell.
AMD is good enoufe and you get more for the mony. So if you can't aford the best you will get more out of a AMD then a intell one of the same price, If you can afford the best get a Intell
Phenom II is way more bang for the buck then any of Intels in that price range.
Most people voting are obviously going with their store bought pc, and did not build their own.
Look at any of the gaming benchmarks, Intel owns the top quarter of all results. The only reason to buy AMD is if you're on a strict budget, and want 4 cores for things other than games.
An i7 920 costs $250 and wipes floor with anything from AMD at any price range.
