Default It's a Corporation: How could it possibly be murder ?

WASHINGTON - The owner of a peanut company refused to testify to Congress on Wednesday amid the disclosure that he urged his workers to ship bacteria-tainted products, pleading with federal health officials that he should be able “turn the raw peanuts on the floor into money.”

Shortly afterward, a lab tester testified that the company discovered salmonella at Peanut Corp. of America’s Georgia plant as far back as 2006.

You jail individuals for doing individual crimes, so you jail whole corporations for participating in crimes.

    ‘Total systemic breakdown’
Shortly after Parnell's appearance, a lab tester told the panel that the company discovered salmonella at its Blakely, Ga., plant as far back as 2006. Food and Drug Administration officials told lawmakers more federal inspections could have helped prevent the outbreak.

"We appear to have a total systemic breakdown," said Stupak, D-Mich

This ^^ is bullshit. It's not systemic breakdown when you found the contamination but DID NOTHING. More inspections (i.e. more gov't pork/taxes) is not the problem.

On the one hand of the spectrum you have corporations like this, selling poison to make an extra buck. On the other side is companies like Walmart, instituting their own health codes and providing jobs during a recession. Funny how Walmart gets so much shit, with people refusing to buy from them based on moral reasons, while they'll be buying peanuts again in a week.

    its corporate liability

you can always trace a fuck up to a single person in the compnay who said 'Do This'

in the UK if a worker is killed and it can be proven a single person was responsible for it(example below) than that person can be charged with manslaughter

*Crate of aerosol cans arrive in sealed containers, your boss says to put them in a baler, its is safe, doing so is against the balers instructions (you dont know that as you have never received official training on how to use it) you start bailing and the cans explode killing you

    *the above actually happened*

sadly there was such a monumental catalogue of fuckups they cant pin it on one person

I agree, instead of child labor the kids should obviously just continue to work as prostitutes.

Or maybe their parents should be paid enough to not have to live in filth?
Child labor is a product of poorly paid workers.

In that case, they should be getting CEO salaries and vica versa.

Last CEO I heard of was decorating his office for 1.7 million....guess the aestheticness increased his productivity?
