New Player Protection

We talked to the developers and we would also like to stress again that the implementation of this new feature should give a new player a bit of a breather while getting accustomed with the gameplay and controls Darkfall offers.

They definitely don't want to take away from player initiatives to help and protect new players. As a matter of fact we notice and appreciate any effort done by the player base in such matters.

We would of course like to offer you a place to discuss this new feature. Feel free to do so here in a constructive manner.

A good move; the playerbase has to expand and this is a good measure to shield new players, or players still unfamiliar with the controls of the game.

I hope to see many more initiatives in this direction in the future.

Yeah, I've got 3-4 friends into the game over the last week in listening to them go grey and being like "YO YOU CAN ATTACK PEOPLE OF YOUR OWN RACE?!?!" was starting to get old.


After this recent experience of mine new players NEED something. If you haven't experienced getting someone into this game you have no need to even consider posting in this thread.

Sure they can get the lesser magic heal other spell, which heals for what, 20 hit points? I understand your idea but it wont work out like that.

It only works on new accounts and in starter cities. Do you really see that as being a problem?

The only heal the new players can have is the "lay on hands" spell from lesser magic. Dont think its much of a problem dude...
