The Truth About The "Lean Bug". [Video]

For those of you who haven't heard:

There supposedly is a "Lean Bug" or "Lean Exploit" whilst fighting on a mount, which involves hitting players on the side of the mount whilst performing a forward swing. Critics of this "Bug" argue that the mounted rider can hit players in the FRONT & SIDE at the same time, effectively using 2 hit boxes.

I have been almost positive for some time now that they were incorrect, that this "Lean Bug" is simply a graphical error, and that you can only hit
players on the SIDE of your mount, 1 hit box. So I decided to test this out for myself with a clan mate, and the results I found not only proved the critics wrong, but led me to a new discovery.

The Traditional Side Swing actually has a Superior Hit Box to the "Lean Bug".
The Traditional Side Swing can hit a player whos standing in front of the mount, and the "Lean Bug" cannot.

Yup it's quite clear. I still think the front swing must have some advantage against the regular side swing. I believe the hitbox of the sidewing to the front is smaller than the hitbox of the fronswing to the front(which is it's only hitbox).

Tested it again for myself and you are right. I can't call this an exploit more of an animation bug or something. It does allow you to change your mind about where to swing though which is an advantage I suppose.

Can't believe that actually required a test, good job Inde. For all those crying over so said exploit, learn to play the fuckin game, I won't call names but you all deserve to get rolled by every single mount fighter out there.

More or less though it is still an advantage, because many people approach the side of a mount because newbs Pre-Lean. By doing the lean-bug you can change your mind quicker and get the hit off, still an advantage.

I am guessing the front swing has the advantage of hitting another player on a mount rather than hitting their mount. Isn't that correct? If you lean you hit their mount, which is awesome, unless they hit you and you die while trying to kill their mount...
