Default Spearwaters siege + cool story

Hey guys, suncross here. I started playing darkfall on NA-1 launch and have yet to be apart of an epic battle. Sunday an epic battle took place, and I was there. It was awesome. I had a lot of fun (even though we lost).

I decided to write a short story in synopsis. Force, 420 (and friends), EB, TRA, others VS. the tan and orange part of the map, and friends. I think I saw some BKs there. TO: death dealers challenged LOTD for control over spearwaters.

Break down. It was a shard holder. We took the holder to kivitztien (sp?) and fought off carnivores and black shields there. We send the shardholder off and engaged at south eastern human lands and pushed all the way back to the 2 hills north of spearwaters. Shard holder D/Cd. The end. It was an intense fight, and the ground constantly shook.

Lots of ninja sieging going around. If FORCE could actually play ball (not with their balls) with one another it would have been an even more intense day.

Darkfall never sleeps.

Now to the +cool story part. I just wrote up a small draft of this siege. I plan to do it to all the sieges I am involved with (that are epic). I can hear the many lolz and scoffs (and I can see your eyes roll), but I just wanted to share it anyways. I changed some stuff around to make it sound right. Enjoy.

(BTW, if you cant post, go and put your forum account info over again in the account management page, and it should work. It did for me).

*edit*
Shard holder lagged off the boat as it seems. Sorry for miss communication.

Darkfall Tales - The fight for Spearwaters.

The night before a day of reckoning, a group of soldiers lie restless in their beds, liaisons make their way through hushed forests and the dragon – the carnivore – sleeps unknowingly. Soon a new day will be born, and the soldiers will rise in attempt take it. As quickly as the plans and strategies arose, so did the sun. It is morning now, and many hours of strife are set in motion.

The attack is on. As the armies of the north amass, the soldiers run through the fields of carnivores and take claim to the land of the mighty dragon. The soldiers set to the sea, and await for the perfect time to strike. Little was known, though, of the fearful reach of the dragon, and its corrupted roots outstretched to the farthest of lands tainting everything it touched. The dragon sent word to its mercenaries, and fell asleep once more.

The waters were silent, the oars creaked, and the fog rolled in. The soldiers stood ready upon their craft, and awaited the possibility of attack while before the time came for their great offensive. The sun shone brightly now, and as it pierced the heavy fog, something came into view. It was two war crafts; shouting and taunts could be heard through the fog dead ahead, and were becoming louder as the soldiers craft pushed forward. In the soldiers’ last efforts, they abandoned their plan, jumped ship, and swamp for their lives. Their attempt was crushed by the dragons’ mercenaries. All was not lost, for the armies of the north were now ready. The soldiers met up with the armies, and ran through the fields once more to claim land. With a massive army, the soldiers sailed into the north lands, and marched high upon the dwarven hill tops to formulate their plan of claiming the dragons land.

In the heart of the southern wastelands, the dragon awoke with a furious rage. Its couriers brought word of the northern armies’ plans to encroach upon its lands. The dragon flexed its muscles, and shot out its weakened scales as it took to the skies towards the north land. Before leaving, the dragon called upon its undead armies of the desert to defend its lands, and the serfs of the wastelands to join him in his assault. With the dragon carrying armies upon his back, he made his flight across the lands to the north, where the attackers await.

A deathly screech echoed across the mountains of the north lands. Snow fell and the guard towers were lit - the dragon approaches. The northern armies anticipated the dragons’ attack, and were ready but knew not where the dragon would strike from. The soldiers left the room of the northern armies’ generals and walked out of the holding and peered into the sky. The screeching stopped. Hundreds of men stand ready with shaking anticipation of the battle to take place. The air stood still and the snow started to fall. The sound of large wings waving through the air became louder and louder. The men gripped their shields tight, and unsheathed their weapons. A dark cloud moved in from the south – no, it was the dragon. Baring its sharp teeth, the dragon parted the fog and clouds above with the hellfire it spewed. The armies upon the dragons back jumped, and fell upon the armies. The battle was on.

The soldiers and armies of the north were taken by surprise. During battle, the dragon received a deadly blow, retreated, and left part of his army to die. Having a seemingly successful engagement, the armies were taken by surprise by how easily the dragons forces were defeated, and were left with many questions: Was the soldiers plan of early attack really working, did they experience the full force of the Dragon and his army, or if this was more trickery of the dragon to attempt to catch them off guard. The soldiers and the northern armies decided to take no chances, and assembled their navy for the commanders to travel to sea as the battle takes place. Leaving the mountainous region of the Dwarf lands, the northern armies rode with the soldiers to the land of the carnivore, and the commanders sailed into the North Sea. They all were ready.

As the attackers began their journey to the wastelands land of the carnivore, the dragons’ domain, they fought the dragons’ mercenaries the entire way; to the soldiers’ surprise, the larger group of mercenaries, who were first to answer the dragons call to foil their initial plans, came unto reconciliation and joined their force. Now, the northern armies and soldiers marched with the mercenaries of the east to fight the dragon in the final battle.

As the force of the northern armies, soldiers, and mercenaries fought well into the southern human lands, the grass turned to barren dirt, and the waters turned to cloudy acid pools. All the still corrupted mercenaries are now dead and the armies of the dragon lay in front of the small force of attackers. The dragon, lying just over the hill, rests injured and breathing its hell fire. The screech of the dragon was deafening, and the ground began to shake. The sound of cold steel shattering shields was the ambiance of the mid day. Men screamed as they were burned alive by rising volcanoes, and many were crushed by the infernos that dropped from the sky. The fight continued with uncertainty as each side pushed and pulled. Many people were dying.

Meanwhile, the generals of the northern armies and soldiers await news of their soldiers’ journey and the progress of the battle upon their ship. A raft soon comes into view – it is the courier. The courier docks with the ship and brings aboard the news. The generals have word of the mercenaries that joined their side, and that the armies have now engaged the dragon and his forces. At that very moment their ship came under canon fire. Pirates. The raft was followed by the dragons spies, and lead the enemy right to them. They were outnumbered 10 to 1, and soon fell to a watery grave.

Back at the battle in the wastelands, things were looking good for the northern army force. They had killed off most of the dragons men, and pushed the remaining to the edge of the land where the oceans began. The dragon is told of the deaths of the northern armies generals, and lets out an insane cackle, and joined the fight to help fight against the attackers. The sun was soon blotted out by the dragons mighty size, and all hope was lost. Armies rose from the sea and the dragon burned all of the attackers in one mighty breath. The battle was done, and the dragon shed his scales once more before flying back to the wastelands to continue his slumber. The attackers were defeated.

I seem to remember Scare Bears killing the shard holder, he seemed to be thrown overboard, almost as if to say, take the shardholder, just don't take our boat.

Of course, we wanted both =)

Scare Bears have the Brig Surrounded, last hope to save the Brig out of desperation the shard holder jumps off the brig as a distraction. The shard holder is killed literally 10 sec after jumping off. Shortly after the Brig is boarded, driver is killed, mass panic etc etc Scare Bears get a Brig, Fun Times. No fuckin clue where you are getting this D/Cd bullshit. I was on a raft in pursuit of the Brig and jumped on to help finish off the last couple survivors. Right beside me in the same room was Jack Bauer whom we give credit to almost the entire thing. I saw exactly what happened with the shard holder was funny as hell.

Just going off of what one of our clan mates said that was on the brig before you were. I bound down to help fight. Honestly, just because another liar can back up the story of a liar doesn't make what you said to be true. Do you even know who the shard holder was?

This is ridiculous. How do you think we found the brig if not for getting the coordinates from LotD? We killed the shard holder, whether he disconnected just as it happened, I couldn't say (but honestly, what are the chances) Your source is just confused, or you misunderstood something. One person did disconnect that I saw, Lucious Verenus (sp?) maybe that is where the confusion is coming from. We definitely killed the shard holder. I believe Maiden Voyage got the killing blow.

Suncross i dont know where you get ur info but you need to shut the hell up cuz you obviously dont know anything. I got Death Dealer to under half my self, granted i didnt get the kill shot, but i was there and he didnt d'c he was running away in an obvious attempt to draw us away from the brig.(which failed). Next time you post on the forums you should really try to not make shit up. Especially if you werent even there lmao

I am an awesome troll, thank you very much, and being so this thread isn't meant to troll. The only one trolling here is you, making offtopic posts. I don't claim to be the most awesome player, but I know I am not shit. You sure you don't want to duel? Lots of confusiion going around, about the shard holder, but at least for now I can prove to you one of those. Still looking for where you guys are bound at. You know I am not terrible and have a decent chance of taking your money (if you even have that much). If you don't have 10k, what do you want to put up? Maybe you can bet me a goblin cap and some wooden bucklers?

Jack, I was there long enough to know that the shard holder was an orc, not a mihiram. Listen, I was on vent with people that were on the boat. You did not kill him, and I can get 500 red army to come in this thread and say so as well.

*edit*

If any scare bears killed him lets see a screenshot of the kill logs. When the death dealer logs in we will have him upload screenshots as well.

If black shields was there, it was as a third party. And you can't call it pushing back to the hills when that's where our forces were stationed. Anyone further north then those 2 hills was scouts at best.

The Cairn n-friends forces were well out numbered in Kvit and couldn't really push much, everything was against us there, low ground, out numbered, being attacked from the front and back etc, so we retreated/got wiped from Kvit and headed back to Spear Water where TRA/Force etc didn't get past our first defense point(1st hill). Was a good fight for about 10 minutes and then we gained a little steam and just destroyed all of TRA/Force and company.

I actually remember Suncross dying though... only because someone naked on our side was killed, then ressed and then attempted to loot you after I ganked you and was killed by our AOE's. Was pretty funny.

Do you even read the posts? jolly said maiden voyage got the killing blow, and hes not in scare bears (incase you didn't know). It was about 10 scare bears and maiden voyage that killed the holder and jacked the brig. We have the brig and you lost the siege. I have no clue what the fuck you are even talking about. Just sounds like your pussy footing around everything we say.
