I am a relatively new player (1 month casual, mainly crafting) and I finally joined a great clan about 2 weeks ago, mainly because i was getting lonely
I fully understood the implications of joining a clan which has WARS with other clans at the time of joining and I was happy to partake where possible.
About a week ago I had been out hunting goblins and was returning to my start town to bank and sell. As I approached the bank I could see an orange (dum dum dum). I made an assumption that he was relatively new, like me, because he was wearing a set of leather armour (I could have been wrong but we all have to make these guesses sometimes!). Anyways, before i could r each him he dashed off to do something in the starter town, still having not seen me, so I followed him and started to attack with my R0 greatsword and leet 40 skill
He never actually fought back, he just ran to the bank and i guess tried to put his armour etc into safety.. But i jumped inbetween him and the bank to make it a little more difficult to open the bank and it seemed to work, cause he started to run away and i killed him.
I hadn't even noticed his clan at this point, but i did notice it after, he was Terrorize.
So i took the armour and left the rest, I banked the armour and then went fishing, not thinking much more about it.
Within 20 minutes I had a private message from a guy called (I think) xzDJzx Terrorize. It seemed fairly obvious from his name which clan he was in.. But he was trying to trick me to find out where i was by offering to give me free armour. I turned this offer down so he was honest and told me the clan were looking for me.
I figured this was a 'reasonable' response to killing a clan member. But i did get accused of 'noob killing' which i thought was unfair as I had only killed one and I WAS still a noob myself!
So i carried on fishing in my hidey hole. I actually got PK'd about 10 minutes later by someone unrelated to their clan but that's life i guess
Anyways. A couple of days ago I rode back from our clan city (on Yssam) to my starter town so I could fight some goblins (my clan kindly donated me a mount! As I crested the hill infront of the starter town entrance I saw xzDJzx running back through the town entrance and he was obviously overburdned. I made another tactical error, i assumed that cause he had terrorize in his name, he was the leader and probably very good, so I ran like the clappers to the next town to bank my gear. Just before i got out of range of him, i noticed that he had turned to see me... the race was on!!
I did manage to bank my stuff and shortly thereafter arrived xzDJzx on his mount. He had obviously grabbed the necessary equipment to fight and came bounding after me.
He killed me quickly cause, due to my tactical error, I had nothing but my default sword and mage staff and no armour. I thought to myself 'fairs fair' but as i respawned (i had tied to this town) he was there to kill me again (I took off my own invlunerabiltiy by casting a heal (I am a newbie after all!)
Then he sent me some messages asking me to say sorry. I asked him for what and he told me for killing a noob. I tried to explain that i was also a noob so this wasn't really a crime but he didnt listen.
Anyways.. he killed me a number of times (I even tried running in one direction as far as possible so that when he finally killed me i could respawn and run the other way) but with his mount he was always able to get back quickly and find me again.
I finally managed to hide by some lava and i could hear him running back and forth trying to locate me, by this time my clan had told me he wasn't as highly skilled as i thought and i should try to kit up and fight...
By the time i got to the bank he had left.. The irony was he actually seemed a reasonable guy in the chat... He just genuinely felt i had done something wrong (I should point out at this stage that i saw that noob later on after i killed him and he had dropped the clan, so i gave him back the armour).
Anyway.. To my bad bad fortune I bumped into him in the same town last night and he started to repeat the loop of death for Grunon. This time though a clan member was near and ran to my aid.. He stomped on xzDJzx and proceeded to kill him repeatedly too. I heard that they actually had a bit of fun playing hide and seek.
In the end xzDJzx logged out to avoid it and my clan member went about his business.
I'm not writing this story to blame anyone, I just thought it would make a funny tale, and I have learned to logout fully armoured and not right next to the bank
I am actually hoping I can chat to this guy again cause, like i said, he seemed a decentish guy, and next time i bump into him ill try and fight my way out of it and not hide!
