Story time! I am a psychopath and objective morality
So I recently saw this "test" again and it reminded me of the first time I heard it:
Quote:
|
Two sisters attend their mom's funeral. One of the sisters sees a stranger she immediately identifies as the man of her dreams, but she doesn't have the courage to go up and talk to him. Later that night she kills her sister. Why?
|
So the point here is that I didn't see the purpose of the story the first time I had it told to me, because I figured the answer was so glaringly obvious anyone with a deductive mind easily could've figured out the answer. But when answered, the whole group of friends that were around me at the time gave me strange looks and even accused me of having heard the answer before. Forumfall, is this a hard question?
Another one on your morals. If you want, you can rank them from most moral to least moral, and explain why:
Quote:
There is a river that is so infested with alligators that it cannot be waded or swam. There are no bridges, and only one boat. On one side of this river is a woman who is engaged to be married. She wants to get across the river to see her fiance, so she visits the man who owns the only boat and asks him to ferry her across the river. He agrees, but only on the condition that she stays the night with him. She refuses and departs from the boatman's house seeking out the uninvolved man to help her change the boatman's mind. But, true to his name, the uninvolved man doesn't want to get involved. She return's to the boatman's house and again asks him to simply take her across the river. The boatman repeats his demand, and she acquiesces.
The following morning she is taken across the river and has a tearful reunion with her fiance. They begin preparing for the wedding. However, on the night before the wedding she tells her fiance about the night with the boatman. The fiance is furious. He cancels the wedding and ejects her from his home. Homeless now, the engaged woman is left to wander the wilderness until she comes upon a wealthy man who is in need of a servant. He agrees to let her stay with him as a servant, but makes it clear that he will never ever marry her.

Why? Because she's a crazy bitch. And you're not a psychopath, you've just been sitting alone in the basement for too long.

Either that stranger is the fiance/husband of her sister or her sister killed her mother for some reason.

I know the sisters one and find it odd how people go down Agatha Christie type plot twists to work out the motivation for the murder.

That man had an affair with both her mother and sister, the sister convinced that man to kill her mother and she somehow found out, not being able to kill the man of her dreams and the fact that her sister is her partner and cause of her mothers death pushes her into killing her sister.
...
Or her sister said she looked fat in that dress!
Edit: trying to look for the answer of that question.

I wonder if people troll that forum

id say that the uninvolved man and the woman and her finace are all about equally as moral. she REALLY fucked up by telling him though, IRL id probably kick her out too even if it was to "get across the alligator river" so to speak. least moral would be the boatman for forcing her into the situation.
if the uninvolved man had had his own boat and still refused to get involved, hed be beneath the woman/her finace and above the boatman in terms of morality.

That is fucked up.
I thought the man of her dreams was her sister's husband and she killed her sister to get him.
EDIT: As for the second one, I think the boatman raped her. I'm not sure why she told her fiancee though.

You're all looking too deep, there is no further information in that story. Just ... think like a woman obsessed

The man of her dreams is actually an escaped female to man pre-op convict and the murdering sister is a lesbian with a fetish for chest hair. By murdering her sister she can be with the man of her dreams in prison for ever and ever and ever and ever and then she dies from cancer aids.

Sister's husband, isn't he?
Alright;
You've got 4 bags of identical sweets with 100 sweets in each. Only thing is that one of them is poisoned and weighs 10 grams more. You need to find out which bag of sweets contains the poisoned ones and you can only use the scales ONCE.

It's scary that I think more alike of a woman so twisted as Dark Lily than the rest of Forumfall. Or good. I'm not sure what's worse of the two.

I live in an apartment.
None of you got it right yet.
The second story is completely unrelated by the way, there isn't an "answer". If everyone would rank the people in the story you just get to see how differently people think about morality.
