Hardware check failed - *DX:no capable device

Is the message I get when launching Darkfall, which makes me unable to launch the game. I did a fresh windows 7 installation and that caused the message to come (I formated the computer).
I have a computer that is able to run DF, cause when I had Vista I could do it without problems. I Also tried to install Directx, but it said it was up to date.
So I have no idea what to do now. It's a Lenovo R61i, a laptop with a sucky graphiccard, but it's powerful enough so I can play with an alt.
I have no clue what to do.

I had that problem as well with Win7 after a fresh install.
If you are using a Nvidia grafix card that will be the problem.
Stay away from the latest official driver (191.07), get the beta driver (195.39) from http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-uk

That did the trick for me!


Other thing you could try..
Do a fresh Win7 install.
Install DFO and let it update.
Install the drivers one by one, and start DFO after every install to check if it works.
If DFO won't start after a specific driver, try an older version or a beta.
