There are already pretty strong situational alternatives. Archery underwater is OP too, 1-hander while mounted is strong, just need more viable options.

I wish mounted archery was available. (I would reduce damage done from archery while mounted and increase further 1 handed... being able to parry with a 1hr is a big situational advantage when fighting an archer... as is the ability to hit at range in reverse...)

Darkfall is evolving into a game where PvP is situational. Depending on the terrain, the number of opponents, the location of the targets, the capabilities of the targets, the capabilities of your character and the way you've set up your character... determines how the fight unfolds and ultimately ends.

It doesn't take that much to make skills a bit more balanced. Not necessarily equally powered, but simply more balanced.
