If you got your account jacked you can submit a directly e-mail through

support@aventurine.gr

You'll need to prove that the account is yours so you'll need

1) Proof of purchase
2) Account details (name, location, e-mail address that was linked to the account etc)
3) Explain in detail how account got jacked.
4) Anything else helpful

Because they aren't allowed to. The GM you get ahold of 9/10 can't do squat, just like all games.

In old days of EQ, the GMs (or at least GM Admins) had real power! I wonder how they handle it now.

GM admins are paid staff. Most gms now adays are just a player who has a little bit of power to deal with small issues.

I view GMs as any other hotline staff - only GMs seems to have next to no training. Hotline staff is only able to help with things they have been instructed in, and thus GMs are unable to help you with anything other than rudimentary stuff like "How do I move?". I also suspect that the GMs have no experienced supervisor that they can ask when in doubt, and as a result any real problem a player may have can only (maybe) be solved through support tickets.
They should rename the GMs to guides and hire some real GMs with old style power!

Xzyxx: you are right, we didnt loose much. alltogether roughly for 50k worth of which 10k was gold.
Still sucks to have to remake the hammers and runes we had (we have a standard set in guildbank and then the rest on a few leaders, so we can handle 4 sieges in terms of calf runes).

I guess the worst part is for the guy that got scammed, who is both really sorry but also in problems because the scammer changed pw and you cant make a ticket to aventurine without logging in - so hes fucked for now.

A few of those look applicable. Too bad the typical stance in these games is not meddling in affairs where someone gives away their account info and can't get it back.

Well the GM´s cant do anything, thats the setup in darkfall , which is ok.. and a way to do it.
The GM´s acts as a filter between Devs and players answering basic issues and looks for ppl exploiting, but have no power ingame, only paste same text etc.

But when a person imporsonates another person ingame utilizing that "I" looks like "l" ingame and gains acces to stuff its not about TOS / EULA etc.
Even if its stupid/or whatever AV is still liable.
Stealing by impersonating online is criminal is several countries in EU/EEC with several convictions. This means that it cant be handled by GM´s only.
