Never seen requiem for a dream but the soundtracks awesome.

There are alot of other gritty british films similar to Trainspotting. If you liked trainspotting you should watch Twin Town; very similar to Trainspotting however its set in either cardiff or swansea. It was the film that kickstarted Rhys Ifans Career.
