Anyone play this game? I'm playing through the single player right now for about the 4th time. To this point I've only seen a couple FPS games deliver solid action and a flawless story in the way that JK2 does. I'm posting this because I'm sure there are people who haven't played this game and it is a great time waster before DF.

*When I say time waster I mean boner inducing saber fest*

That boner inducing saber fest could be taken in more than one way....

From now on whenever people say sausage-fest I am going to correct them and say, "Saber fest."

Acquire Jedi Academy (aka JK3) and then download the Movie Battles II mod. It's amazing.

Ah, the joy of watching a group of Storm Troopers get dismembered in slow motion.

Hands, arms, and heads flying about as their knees finally buckle, and they slowly drop to the ground.

Any game without dismemberment isn't worth playing.

I played through it recently for nostalgia. Sure its cool once you get the saber, but the levels before that almost aren't worth it. Why is it that the saber blasts travel so god damn slowly? And the storm troopers strafe like caffeine-overdosing 15 year old quake 2 fanatics. Untill you get the saber you're better off relying on grenades and the stun baton.

Then as soon as you get the saber you might as well put it away and pull out the sniper rifle to deal with the tattooine level.

And have you ever tried to play it with difficulty cranked? I was nerd-raging on that swamp planet where you have to fight 3 of the black-armored force using guys. One would force choke as the other two threw their sabers for the insta-kill, even if you force push instantly you can't get your saber back up. Just had to keep reloading untill by chance they never did that.

Rants about the single player aside, the multiplayer still owns.

Awesome, but it hasn't aged as well as some older games. Most 3D games don't age well.
