I just finished doing a one minute test on 'The Wizard of Oz" and got 94wpm with 90% accuracy, 104wpm gross speed.

I only did this test once but I am sure I can get over a 100 if I do it again since I know some of the words I got wrong now.

EDIT: Well, the test doesn't say 100% accuracy, but what I meant was my text contained no mistakes at the end because I corrected them on time.

I took that test about two months ago and got 106 wpm with like 96% accuracy. But, alas, that was a month ago. I'm sure it's worse now.

If I make a mistake firefox points it out and then fixes it for me. When typing online though its pretty easy to not make a mistake unless you plan on using fancy words or something. Only typed like 4 words wrong in that test and most of it was just punctuation like a apostrophe or something.

I use Chrome. It's really good at pointing out mistakes, unfortunately not at correcting them. That's one thing I miss about Firefox.

Btw, I have a confession to make. I can't touch type, I have to look at the keyboard most of the time. I can look away for a few seconds in mid-sentence but that's it. I'm a gamer damnit, not a typist. :( I know where to find my gaming buttons only.

Fail test is fail. You should be allowed to backspace without being penalized for anything except time. Find a better typing test please.

That said, on the 2 minute zebra test I got 77 wpm net on a first try on
my laptop.

Subsequent attempts gave slightly better results; my top one got to 87 wpm net.

No; I use the backspace key an absurd amount, often after having already pressed the spacebar. But I do it very efficiently because I've done it so many times. Well I don't know of any typing tests that would allow that. I hardly ever use backspace really so meh.

i type alot faster if i don't have to read text but write my own stuff. I just got 50wpm with 90%acc But i could do better, i dun feel like atm though. Thx for that site i like it.
