Normal media fear-mongering to scare the populous. We wouldn't admit that it was a fault to everyone if it really was.

More like "Hey citizens! We may be under threat of a CYBERZ attack..so we're going to limit your rights on the internet..remember it's for homeland security! Either you're with us or with them!"

Aye. Remember kids, computers and guns are bad! Do you want the bad man to be able to hurt Uncle Sam?

This line especially cracked me up:

Billions of dollars must be spent by both government and industry to improve security, said U.S. Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger of Maryland, the Democratic chairman of the intelligence subcommittee on technical intelligence.

That notion of OMG cyberterrorism is coming is well over 10 years old. How this still makes the news is beyond me.

Well we didn't have billions of dollars to spend on it 10 years ago. Now that we have this huge influx of cash we can finally defeat the evil cyberterrorists who are destroying our internets.

We all know who's going to fuck over the U.S and win back their freedom for real this time, hackers.

No loss on our side, just need to bankrupt the government by stealing everything out of their computers :p

And yet, a single cheap 9 mm round to the base of his cranium would keep us eternally safe from his evil machinations. How, who said guns were bad? :D

Except him making us start over from scratch would have been good imo.

Your 9mm analogy should go to the men in power for the last 8 years. Them and their banker lobbies...

Did you read it btw?

That's stupid considering he was the only one who knew about it at the time and in the end he ended up telling everyone of the problem.
