Cities across Telon have had their halls decked and the Randolph the Flying Reindeer is back just in time to celebrate the winter holiday events, the Festival of Gloriann! Players whose accounts have been inactive for 45 days or more have been reactivated now through January 31, 2009 at 11:59 PM. To join the action simply log into your account! Check out all the decorated houses and guild halls or simply take part in collecting the gifts and goodies spread across the land.
This will give me something to do while I ignore the wifes family that are here for holidays.

It really wasn't very fun... I only played for 3 weeks, but it really wasn't very fun.

It didn't seem too bad last time I played before AoC's release, not sure if it's worth installing just to go check out though.

Vanguard is not worth loading back up to check it out for a little bit. I played in closed and open beta, and for a few months after launch. While it has nice graphics, its just not that fun.

I played at launch too, but not much. In its defense, they made a LOT of improvements that made it a lot better a year down the road in comparison to how it was at launch and the first six to eight months or so. It's actually a solid game now.

Ah I see... so your conclusion is based on the game.... 2 years ago. Considering its the closest thing out there to a sandbox game, if you find it boring, hate to see what happens in Darkfall :P

My dislike was also due to the fact that I felt houses were useless, and they made 'rare' resrouces too plentiful. Plus I felt you HAD to join groups to get anything done past lvl 20. Thats not sandbox.
UO is still sandbox, VG is not.
