Whats a good book to read? I'm not too much of a reader, but when i find a good book i can't put it down. Examples of books that i liked/ have read and enjoyed. Anything Michael crichton, and the Harry potter series was good... and thats about it.

Tom Clancy - Without Remorse
Or you could read Dan Brown's books, they're "safe" in that they are entertaining and very easy to read.

The Magic: The Gathering books are pretty damn good, if you start with The Brothers' War and go forward from there.
I still need to pick up the A Song of Ice and Fire books...
Dan Brown's books are pretty good too.
Harry potter series was good... and thats about it.
Lol... I hope you're not one of the idiots who speed read it in a day then spent the night crying about it over youtube and fagspace?
I recommend the bible, its comic value is realy under apreciated.

Pillars of the earth. Best book I've read in years. Just started on the sequal. Feel like a schoolboy in a toystore! :D
But Viranth is spot on the money aswell! Best Clancy novel.

I agree with the Game of Thrones suggestion, or Ender's Game by Card.
The OP isn't giving us a lot to work with here, so I'd recommend one of those since they are good and not hard reads.

OOWWW i just stated reading these books about 2 weeks ago, its destroying my life!! i cant put them down. I finished A Game Of Thrones a few days ago about 1/3 of the way into A Clash Of Kings soooo good!! Do they get better as they go on? Thrones was amazing and so far Kings is just as good!
another great series is Robert Jordon's Wheel of Time. I hop the new writer for the final book is good!

The crying of lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon if you're up for something a little challenging (wouldn't recommend V or Gravity's rainbow if you're not much of a reader)
Any Ian Banks (contemporary or sci fi, whatever appeals to you) for an easy and intriguing read.
Ender's Game if you haven't already read it...
Any of the discworld books by Terry Pratchett for very easy and enjoyable reading.

The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. A wizard, living in modern times, who fights crime. Has a little bit of everything. Magic, crusaders, evil fairies, gremlins, 3 different types of vampires, cops, gansters, cults...

I liked wheel of time until I found George R. Martin. Now everything else i try and read turns to shit. The series stays great, the only one I didn't care for very much was Feast For Crows I think, which dealt with characters I didn't care about for a lot of it.
Most amazing series evar. Newest one is due out any time now so I hear.

Oh, and, all of the Discworld novels. Best series ever written.
Discworld Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discworld). Just pick one, they don't really have a strict order but I'd recommend Colour of Magic as it is the "first" book.

Borrowed it from the misses so mayhaps :)
But this book really caught my attention from the get go. Anyways it's a great book that explains alot on how politics and war worked in the middle ages and I can now say for sure. Medieval life sucked bigtime!!!
If your into historical fiction, this is the one to grab.

House to House: An Epic Memoir of War
About the US Army in Falluja Iraq, from the perspective of a Sgt in a mechanized infantry unit. It's very funny, and a good read, but the writer is more than alittle crazy.
The Chronicles of Malus Darkblade volume 1 and the rest of the series
Based in the Warhammer universe.
A series for people who like anti-heros, torture, murder, betrayal, and everything that goes along with them.

Yeah... You might want to read H.P.Lovecraft, but I doubt it's a book, more like stories.
Another thing you want to read is Arthur Clark... 2001: A Space Odyssey.
And Witcher by Andjei Sapkovsky, dunno if it was translated to english tough... :\
