Werbservers - New Board Software

We're in the process of upgrading webservers and board software. If you experience any problems with the website or the boards, it's because of this.

We should be finished early next week. We have no real update for this week, even though we have a few things ready for you we won't be putting them up until the new boards are operational. The changes to the boards will not affect the existing posts or user accounts.

i dont think this means beta. just look at the info we've been given so far, the few pictures and no ingame movies. somehow it seems to me that it's rushed for them to suddenly be giving us beta; but hey! if they did, it sure would have been a great surprise.

Not that I'm saying I think they will be coming out with beta soon, I feel confident it will come out once they have found all the bugs they can themselves...

If they are ready for beta, then that's obviously good news.

Good luck, take your time, and hopefully everything will work out well and we'll get some new updates mid-next week. :D

They used the word soon ™ about betaregistration in January ("when new site is up and running"). And considering they are working on webservers... to handle registration? downloads? big betadownloads? :)

We can only hope... and pray, and probably cross our fingers as well. Clearly if they're updating their webservers it's because they're expecting a lot more traffic to them in the near future. ;)

Each week I seem to get more and more impatient. I wonder how impatient the developers are getting?

Hrm... I don't /think/ this means beta is coming really soon.. But still this could be the prep for it in advance.. It could be to handle downloads of an ingame movie or something.

If the engine and model skins recieved the tweaks that were needed from last time, they might be ready to show us a DF ingame video.. But I dunno if it's that either.

In short, I don't really have any strong thoughts on what it might be now. It may be nothing more than an early prep for the bandwidth needed for beta signups and downloads much further down the track.
