So it seems to be getting really good reviews so far. I'm glad because I liked the first one, but after that, not so much. Hopefully this will be a positive re-invention for it.

Anyone had the chance to play yet?

....why? they only got better with each new game imo. combat got better with the second one. and i loved the stealth stuff in number three. that and the boss fights where pwn sause

I don't see the hype with this game. I watched the vids on it, it looks aweful. Graphics are disgusting, gameplay looks boring. Dunno, personal opinion.

DO NOT TRUST REVIEWS!

I beg of you, IGNORE all reviews except from someone you trust. Look at Far Cry 2, it got high 90s but it's a horribly repetitive game with production value worse than Assassin's Creed, which was as repetitive.

I hope the new PoP is good, I've been playing the series since Mechner's original done by Broderbund back in '89, but I came to think that after Sands of Time, which had an adorable storyline, the series went down the tubes. Warrior Within was pretty bad. Two Thrones was even worse, at least for me, because or ludicrous camera movement. I expect PoP '08, and let's face it, they couldn't even bother to come up with a NAME for this particular installment, to be even worse.

The timeline goes like this:
Prince of Persia
Prince of Persia: Shadow and the Flame
Prince of Persia 3D
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Prince of Persia: Two Thrones
And now, Prince of Persia again? Or Prince of Persia 2008, which is even worse? Like Dracula 2000? Huh, I actually remember that move, wasn't THAT bad...

I haven't played it yet, mind you, it's coming for PC next week, or the week after that. I might get it, I might not. I'll probably wait for Zero Punctuation review, Yahtzee holds Sands of Time as one of the best games ever made, and I completely agree, that game was as memorable as the original Fallout, so if the game sucks, he'll tear it a new one in the review better than anyone. And if he says it's great, you can bet your ass it's great.
