I want to play a Planets of Starcraft and I've held the belief that Blizzard is going in this direction.

After further consideration I'm firmly holding on this belief even more because Blizzard decided to make the Trilogy to really expand on the storyline.

Blizzard has been looking for staff member to do a nextgen MMO for over a year and each Trilogy won't take no more than 2 years to make each. A 7 year development time for P;)S would be sufficient to make a good game that can follow after WoW which would be over a decade old.


I'm hoping for an FPS but now I'm beginning to suspect Blizzard won't go that route.

Blizzard sucks at FPS. I've played Starcraft Ghost. It was like Perfect Dark Zero, completely uninspiring.

I'd be happy with a Starcraft themed Team Fortress mod honestly.

theyre doing that. You play in FPS mode, but you command a small squad of guys (youre the squad leader). I heard from a whole bunch of guys down at my local Games Workshop, they all said it was true, but being kept quiet (they're total GW addicts, yet not nerds...wierd..)

From the looks of it World of warcraft will not get another expansion.The lich king instance should be released within 8 months or so and that means that the lich king story finishes.

I think after wows lichking there are titans.They will either have to re-vamp the whole look of the game or make a totaly new mmo for them to earn funds something like starcraft mmo,or world of warcraft 2.

A fire warrior should, and would, get absolutely stomped by a space marine just like how any other basic troop would apart from maybe a necron. Dunno if thats changed recently as ive not touched the table top game in years, but that was previously the case.

Similar to WoW? No, World of Starcraft would suck ass. In a form like an MMORTS (either controlling a large group or a small force) or an MMOFPS (controlling an individual unit) it would kick ass, however.

But no, Starcraft doesn't really fit the needs for an MMORPG, imo.

lol...I can just envision an MMO based on humans playing Starcraft in front of computers. At character creation you'd pick an RL race, a computer build, and a location, and then you'd start playing your character playing Starcraft.

This is the reasoning behind people saying they'll make a PvP MMO. They would be trying to absorb a portion of the market that WoW really can't try to fill without screwing itself over.
