I haven't actually heard anything from the new album yet, but I said yes anyway. I don't know if I like the new line up, but the gnr fanboy in me says it will be good regardless.

He was always jumping into the crowd and fighting when people had cameras. Now every person has a camera (phone). It's going to be like a pay $30 to fight axel rose concert. Your seat or location determine your spot in the line.

Shacklers Revenge isnt too bad either IMO. Of course, considering the length it took them to make, and the amount of money, Axl could have done MUCH better.

My favourite on the album is Madagascar, but that probably has something to do with the fact that "I have a Dream" gives me Goose bumps.

It sucks.. This is not Guns N' Roses, how does Axl have the right to use the Guns N' Roses name? 3 of 4 of the members of Guns N' Roses are in Velvet Revolver...

Well considering he ripped off the GnR name after leaving L.A. Guns...he is probably the one who holds the sole copyright on the name.

This should have /thread even more so considering Velvet Revolver has gone by the wayside as well.

Heard three songs from this album and I'm not impressed.
If I cared enough, I would spend time wondering if the new Guns N Roses is better than Velvet Revolver or not.

But I don't.

Nothing any member or ex-member of GNR do will ever match the greatness of Appetite for Destruction. If they prove me wrong, then great!

The album is good. Technically I'd say most of the songs are really great, just this style isn't my exact cup of tea. I'm tending to like the slower songs better, because the heavier songs sound too 'current' imo. It's much closer to the illusion albums than appetite for destruction(which is expected since there is no slash).

I love GnR. And this is not the 'real' GNR. But Axl Rose has the legal rights, and if anyone was going to have them it's not like any other member would have deserved the rights to the name more than him. Axl Rose gets too much shit. I'm strange in that I actually respect geniuses. One in a Million, You could be Mine, It's so easy; you have to tip your hat to axl rose after those songs.

Since appetite for destruction I'll be happy the rest of my life to support any musical endeavors axl rose pursues, even if I hated the current music he was making, just to keep axl producing new songs. I am disappointed in how clean axl rose is singing in many songs. I prefer more 'nighttrain'-esque vocals from axl.

Seriously, I thought Appetite For Destruction was a killer album. Probably one of the best hard rock albums of all time IMO.

But subsequent albums failed to deliver, also IMO, and one person left out of a band continuing on with out the musicians who made it all happen has just got fail written all over it.

This album will tank and will be found for cheap in the cut-out bins at WalMarts across the world within 6 months.

Bought the album saturday but havn't heard it enough to really comment but since its created by Axl Rose its just a must have for me.
