so i hooked my 360 up to my friends non-HD TV and it worked fine, and then took it back home and hooked it back up to my HDTV.
now, for some reason, it doesnt work when i set the cable on the back of the xbox to HDTV. it still works for TV, but not HDTV.
also, if i set my TV on COMP instead of AV, it works when set to HDTV, but all the colors are slightly green tinted.
has anybody had stuff like this happen to them before? any suggestions?

make sure your cords are pushed in all the way i beleive the blue one not being pushed in enough will give you a green tint
Wtf, this isn't a news thread.

the cords definitely are not loose, and also if i set it to TV instead of HDTV, theres no problems with the graphics, its just not HD quality.
i had a problem like this once before, but i just turned off the box and unplugged/replugged the cord into the back of the xbox and it worked again. this time nothing works, ive carefully checked all the cables, theres no reason i can see for why it doesnt work when set to HDTV.
This wouldn't have happened if it was a PS3.
Because you wouldn't be using it.

Buy a new cable, a useful one, like vga or hdmi.

Google it, there are fixes for lots of xbox 360 issues out their. Its just finding the one for that particular issue that might take a few minutes,. (Can't be that long)

i forget what it says on the cord, but the one you get originally with the 360 has a analog (i think) switch and the hdtv one. Make sure you have it on the hdtv...Now i believe you need to set up your HD cable obviously in the correct slot with the sound connectors (white and red) in as well.

I don't mean to seem rude. But I am sure you will find your answer or a Microsoft x-box forum. Best of luck.

I'm still debating whether the title of this thread is a pleonasm or a tautology.

I laughed then looked at the PS3 next to my 360 and died a little
