Ok, the other poll settled nothing! We must find out the true champion and the age induction of Forum Fall gamers! A gamefaqs style duel to end all duels, yes, almost as epic as Sephiroth vs Eek the Cat. Here we go, start your bidding!

Wait, damn, where is the poll?! I am fail!!!!

I remember going to the store and buying my OWN after work.

And some punks stole my SNES...but the cops caught them and arrested them in their school. :lmao:

holy crap i just rememberd something! My second game system (after my atari) was a captain power tv flight .... thing. It came with a big jet and a video tape. You put the tape in the VCR and used the jet to fly around and shoot stuff down. The jet had a gun handle on the bottom of it and a light gun like the duckhunt gun so when you shot it would do stuff on screen. But now that im thinking about it how the hell did that work with a video tape? Maybe the tape was a sidealong with the game? I cant remember.

woot found a link (http://www.virtualtoychest.com/captainpower/captainpower.html). Check that 80s badasserey out.

Holy crap! I had the power base when I was about 7. I had no idea that there was other stuff to go along with it. I just used it as an extension to my lego fortresses. If only I'd known! My childhood could have been twice as fun.

I will always remember my NES fondly, because I used it to breach the laguage barrier with my friend from Africa. Less than 10 hrs after coming to the states speaking only French, Arabic, and some tribal dialect from Mali, I had him yelling "Damnit Mario I told you to Jump" it was his first sentence in english. Months later I taught him the words to Everybody Dance Now, it took him almost a year to learn English enough to be mad at me for teaching him that it was "Everybodys Pants Down". Teaching immigrants english wrong is great fun.

Then I had a Colecovision, soon as they came out, which in its time was amazing. LOL.

I remember playing Ladybug (kinda like pac man),Zaxxon, Cosmic Avenger etc all the time.

WOW, thats been soooo long ago I am sooo old :(

Then I got the NES. Many fond childhood memories of it :) Zelda was a great game

I had my SNES given to me by an older cousin, along with Super Mario All Stars, Nigel Mansel F1 Racing and Mortal Kombat.

I played MK so much my hands got blistered from those tiny contollers.

Good times.. Good times..

OHHH! I remember for a birthday one year I got Street Fighter Collecters addition in like a silver tin, and it had a badge. Awesomez.. *looks for picture*

Our first console was the Atari 2600. We got an NES a couple years later with Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!, that game was bad ass. We got an SNES when it came out and a Genesis awhile after that. The SNES was the best system for the early generations of consoles.

I have quite a collection of NES games still and a working NES.

I still play our NES from time to time. I was amused when I noticed that its controller is basically a wiimote -motionsensing, turned on its side. Progress, eh.

That was the main reason I didn't play NES enough to convulse and die like that WoW kid from the other day... you had to ration your time or your left thumb would be too sore to play.

As for first console, intellivision bitch! I didn't know wtf to do with it since I was like a toddler, I still remember that shiny circle directional thing though. First console I actually played instead of just banging on the ground was a colecovision

I got a SNES from my cousin, and man oh man, so much Super Mario 3, Aladdin, and Super Star Wars was played. Sad thing is now my Super Mario cartridge is dying so methinks I'm gonna have to get a new one.

It came with about 6000 games! Questron FTW. Then the atrii 5200 then finaly a nes. When the Snes came out i was just old enough to be phyced for the robot! Lol what a uselss peice crap that was.

NES was amazing for being ground breaking, but the SNES perfected it. So SNES had better games/was a better console, but most of the good things about the SNES came from the NES.

I do. The controllers are more comfortable than he XboX/PS crap that are awful if your hands are big. I never got blisters from NES and it was so good you could hold it in different ways and play the whole day comfortably. 15 minutes with the new shit and my triggerfinger is wasted as badly as if I was playing Shadowbane with a shoddy mouse.

Atari, NES, SNES, Genesis. The Genesis was my favorite system of the old school systems, though SNES had more games. :) (Genesis could handle more shit happening fast w/o video lag)

90% of the games really suck. But it did have a lot of games... Not the greatest of all time, closer to what the Wii would be if there weren't too many other systems to steal their thunder.

NES. I faintly remember the day we got it, but I remember being in the parking lot of a store. My parents came to the car with some guy I had never seen before, and my mom had the NES box in her hands.

It also came with Duck Hunt, and we bought a few others games the next day, including Super Mario Bros. and some Jurassic Park game. Those days were epic.

I still have both the NES and SNES somewhere in my house. Unfortunately, I lost the power cables a long time ago, so I can't play them anymore. But I still have a few of the games in some cardboard boxes. Definitely gonna hold on to those babies.
