View Full Version : Should I Buy CoD4 or CoD5 or L4D? never played any of them

Hey I really need a new game to play until DFO so I am looking at starting EVE online again, but I also want a shooter game. So my question is out of CoD 4, CoD WaW, and Left for dead which do you guys like the most? I have never played any of the CoD games, but I know roughly what they are about. Left for Dead looks cool, but it seems like it might get repetitive pretty quickly and I don't think there is any PVP in it.

So which should I buy?

That's the one I am currently planning to get, but I wanted to see what other people thought about it before buying. You think you will be able to play it for the next 2 months and not get really bored of it?

They have demos for all of them. Try them first, see what you like (including EVE)

If you're buying for longevity, subtract COD4

Yes. I'll be playing it for the next two YEARS and not get bored of it.

He is buying it to tide him over until DFO comes out. Clearly, longevity is important.

And then COD4 if not L4D,because it's the better version of COD:WAW,which in turn is basically a slight WW2 modification using the same COD4 engine.

Depends what you want it for. The call of duty games are only good for multiplayer and they get frustrating and boring after 4-5 months.
