I don't know whether to resent Aventurine for this success thus far in beta discretion, or praise them. They have apparently done what no other company, to date, has been able to pull off, which is to have public testers who have remained relatively tight-lipped after the first week. This, coupled with their willingness to let us desperately run around searching for wild answers about the game, creating our own rumors as a community, and an army of trolls advertising their game for them... and it is clear to me now that Aventurine is run by ninjas.

Well they are an sea faring lot, so pirate ninjas is probably more accurate.

This is what my posts have resorted to, because I have nothing to post about this game. When I think of a question to ask to contribute to the community, I do a search and find the answer. I really don't think there is a question I could ask or answer, that hasn't been handled by someone with a name in blue before, at least not with game mechanics.

You actually have a really good point about that. Assuming they chose older users for testers, these guys would be furious if it didn't deliver, and one of them would be ranting about it in a more public venue. It only takes one, afterall. That is basically the only thing that would drive someone deeply loyal to post about it like that.

The trolls also help keep us all defensive enough that we're like, "fuck you other MMO communities."
