It is a skill based combat game with elements of RTS. single player.

you recruit men, fight battles (up to a hundred ppl) u give orders to archers, calvary, pikemen, showrdsman, knight, what ever you have. u can also do quests, start a kingdom, take over a kingdom, and all the battles are done in real time and you are in the fight the whole time!!

it really is pretty awesome. i think it will be similar to DF's melee combat. u can even fight from horseback!!!

you can get more than 100men battles, goto the mount and blade site and theres a battle size changer mod, I battle with 400 men (pc cant handle anymore than that). theres LOADS of patches and mods you can get. One guy has done an EPIC graphics update for it and deffo worth checking out.

sweet! did not know that. the only mod i really played was the End of Days mod. it was decent. and i messed around with adding guns. those were pretty cool. the graphics update and 400+ battles sounds awesome!

I played years ago and bought 1.0 - yeah it's fun, but when you've done pretty much everything and you're the uberness of uber, there's not much else despite it being sandbox. The only thing I can't do on that game is conquer everything without joining a kingdom, and from reading the forums I think no-one has ever done it. Prove me wrong.
