I'm happy - and so are all the different ethnic women I'm dating.
I wish he didn't ruin his great speech by ending it with the "god bless america" crap, but oh well, it'll be awhile before we get an atheist in there that doesn't curtail to such delusions.
I'm just tired of them always saying he's black, when he's only half black. "How do you feel about a black man in the presidency?!"
Hey, idiot reporter, he's only half black.

That's right, because when genes are passed down they mix in to a hybrid, rather than one being dominant and the other recessive. Therefore, he must be half black.
Yeah!
I think Obama paints a prettier face for American leadership. As others have noted on this forum, he's a very charismatic speaker. We'll have to see how the anointed one does!

a sense of doom.
The democrats now have control for the next two years.. I guess we are going to see what happens when every little social program, tax and spend policy and pro immigration bill sent to congress sails through with flying colors.
We are going to see a lot more jobs get outsourced as companies are forced to lay off on shore employees to cover their much higher taxes and medical expenses.
We are going to become a welfare state. The only joy I get from this is knowing that when our economy takes a shit.. all of the fucking eurotards who would love nothing more than to suck Obamas dick will have their economies crash soon after and much harder.
I will tell you this much.. if you think shit is expensive now.. just wait a couple of years when many competitors are forced to shut their doors and you have fewer choices of products in the marketplace.

To do that you'd have to disable yourself. That is why people who are disabled get help, to level their disability so that they have the same quality of life like everyone ellse.
So be fair now and cut one of your legs of and then I bet people will be happy to give you some money :)

I expect I would hate it, but whats the point of striving to succeed at the cost of my health and quality of life, if the country is filled with people who just want a mommy government?

but after what has happened for the last 8 years...if things get objectively better...the market/economy, foreign policy, deficit decreases...etc
if ANY good stuff occurs in the next 2 years, and we wind up a little better off than we are after the last 8...
will those nay saying doom and gloom trolls man up and admit it?
we will see....i'm not saying it will, but there is a chance that these folks will do better than the last set of crooks...i'm just wondering if some can man up and admit it if it happens...

if you look at it from an economical stand point the economy is going to get better in about 2 years. So your wish will come true. Till then it will get worse. :)
But while that is all going on lets remind ourselves that the economic turmoil we are in now isn't the fault of any one country. It was the bad moral practices and bad management of many international banks.
So I'm happy.

I would be the first to admit it. But considering that democrats have had control of congress over the last two years and its only gotten significantly worse...
I have a pretty good feeling its only gonna keep getting worse.
You cant "spread the wealth" when we have trillions of dollars in debt and expect the few people (those making over 250k and the already overtaxed corporations) to keep shouldering the burden for a portion of society that will never try.
We have the second highest corporate taxes in the world.. we already have HUGE problems with layoffs, rising unemployment... and the democrats answer is to tax them more??
I dont think anyone needs a real high IQ to see where thats going to lead.

The world needs the American market, its a fact.

I was initially supportive of John McCain, siding more-so with conservatism - though I philosophically believe in the politics-administration dichotomy (as a low level public manager ((social services))). I didn't like how he became this whole other person when campaigning really took flight. It was as though in exchange for a party affiliation he would need to change some of the core "value" (not values) he held as a senator - being a 'ball buster' on issues such as the defense budget. That culminated with democratic majority in congress, I felt it was only natural to go for a democratic president on the sole basis of having enough authority/power to actually get things done without constant opposition due mainly to party affiliation. They both have similiar objectives and McCain would have faced heavy democratic opposition. If in the end they core of their difference is simply "how" they reached said objectives, then go for the one who is more likely to succeed. I think that's what sucks about "checks and balances", but overall I'm really glad they exist. Anyway, I voted for Obama because I'm going all-in and hoping that his "Clean slate" will remain so, and that he'll give me some favorable returns.

Odd you think Im speaking from the point of some idiotic collge kid or whatever it is you assume I am from the tone of your post.
Ive owned multiple businesses and now work for a large stock driven corporation and have seen the direct results of particular legislation on the profitability and success of companies and how it affects their hiring policies.
So if you take that as a "magic 8 ball".. so be it. I take it as learning from past experiences.

i am taking it as coming form someone who makes predictions...hence the word "magic"
i am taking it as someone making assumptions...see above
i am taking it form the historical perspective going beyond merely the last 8 years...or even the last 28
i am also taking it as a skeptic who has done the political dance before and is well aware of the differences between what some perceive, what is "promised" and what actually happens in reality
i am coming form the perspective of someone who knows that the new POTUS does not take office until late January...
nuff said?
EDIT: oh yeah...i am also taking is as coming from Forumfall, where the men are men and so are the women...where everyone is a 6'6" 300 lbs of muscle champion MMA fighter with an MBA and a supermodel girlfriend...

So speaking from the historical perspective of owning a business that employed nearly 200 employees during the entire Clinton administration.. and seeing what many of those liberal social/fiscal policies did.. Im making assumptions and predictions that are completely based in fantasy??

you are guessing again...and incorrectly as well
but now that you mention it...looking at the numbers during the Clinton years and the numbers form the supplysider's heaven of 2001-2006, much less the current situations...
well...Barry ain't slick Willie...and while historical circumstances may appear to repeat, it's never exact since the times have changed
silly of me, but i tend to hope for the best and then plan for the worst
however, i never try to make predictions when too many variables are uncertain...and if anyone thinks they have a handle on the situation...well , i've got this wonderful bridge i'm looking to sell...cheap

In terms of supplysiders... Clinton was much more centrist than Obama "appears" to be. A direct comparison of their economic policies pretty much makes that clear as day.
I dont think there is any "magic 8 balling" going on here. I can respect you hoping for the best and planning for the worst, many of us who have been through a lot of economic ups and downs take that for granted. But when discussing the policies they plan to implement.. smal businesses planning the move to "mid sized" businesses are in for a world of hurt.
I dont know if you've ever owned or managed a business.. but you know Im not just making up some bullshit neo con line. Im really concerned as I have seen the direct affect of many of these "living wage", "spread the wealth" policies in the past.. and during the 90's those policies were much more tempered than they will be over the next 4 years.

yes..i owned my own business for 9 years until i sold it and moved to Maine in 97...
again, i put to you that you are guessing...NO policies have been submitted to Congress, NO bills have been written, NO budget has been proposed...on and on
you appear to be making predictions and decisions on the ephemera of campaign promises, by your own admission...
my statement is that experience has shown such to be ludicrous at best... and while projecting curves with known data and controllable variables is definitely good business practice... going outside of that particular box calls for the Oracle at Delphi at th every least...
hence my earlier point....
