10 years ago I was 14, and couldn't think past my dick, so as for that I think I've made it, im a drunken student, and happy about it.
In 10 years I hope to be on the 3rd or 4th year of running my own brewery, and maybe even approaching solvency.

I expected to be wherever I was, and I have absolutely no clue as to where I'll be in ten years. Hell, I can't even be sure where I'll be in a minute. I might decide to go get some food or something.

I expected to be in a country with a balanced budget, monetary and political reform, and peace. So much for that fucking pipe dream.
10 years from now I expect to be doing pretty well, but I honestly don't know where I'll be location-wise (for the first time in my life).

10 years from now Obama is not going to be President whichever way you cut it; but he can tag along if he stays quiet and brings his own damn beer!

Ten years ago I was in the marines.. I didn't expect to live much more then 5...now its 2008 im still alive.
I think a better question would be... where do you see the world in the next ten years, and what part do you see your self playing in it.

Question #1: Same place, similar situation.
Question #2: Same place, similar situation.
My living arrangements are permanent. My income stream is also permanent.
Even my personal activity preferences are pretty much exactly the same.
I dont welcome change. And I keep things as they are, because I am an extremely happy person, the way things are and have been for the past 10 years. Happy, satisfied, content, laughing, sometimes in a hateful rage, but altogether I live the ultimate awesome existence. And I am not rich, not by a long shot. :)
As for being online, I will be here, playing Darkfall, in 10 years from now. And most likely still having fun with all the wonderful things that have to do with teh internet.
edit --- Provided Darkfall doesnt bomb.

10 years ago I expected to be doing pretty much what I'm doing: playing video games and studying to be a chemist (at the time I wasn't quite as specific as a chemist, I was thinking "scientist", but that's semantics IMO). 10 years from now I'll be either in the chemical field (if things start seeming like they're getting better economically in the long term, which seems unlikely) or being a subsistence farmer with some chemical experiments on the side.
