http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1079297/Pictured-The-mystery-pink-light-appeared-London.html

realizing it is not a natural reflection from streetlights (simply because IF that was the case,it would have been a known recurring phenomenon....which it clearly isnt)

and realizing it is not some beamer from some breast cancer organization (frankly cause there is no evidence to suggest it may be this, and because it states in the article that it hovered over a house, before it began breaking apart & slowly disappearing: to my knowlegde, beamed light does not tend to do that kind of things?)

so,wth could it be

edit: This actualy reminded me of this video that was first uploaded on 14th october (lolyes),apparantly it got removed by youtube (I can confirm this as the original uploader was a different person, and the original video seems to have disappeared),and some other random decided to repost it
http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=XqD8XajuCpo

Anyways,I am in NO means implying its a pink **** extraterrestial spaceship, but I'm curious as to what the hell it may have been.

I have tones of old pictures with that sort of polorisation (sp) it comes from either bad lenses on a camera or bad camera in general. something to do with over exposure.

"Bemused bystanders in Mayfair craned their necks to witness the strange alien-like cloud that appeared for just under an hour at around 8:30pm."

Explain me how you're bad lense polarisation would cause bystanders to crane their neck to watch the phenomenon that appeared for almost an hour?

I appreciate the fact that you put effort into giving an explanation, but do your research on the subject :P

October is breast cancer awareness month. Many monuments all around the world are being lit up pink. This was probably just a spot light pointing the wrong direction for an hour or something.
