When I saw this the first time in the movie theater on opening day, I think I re-went through puberty at least twice before the credit's rolled. :ohno:
If you haven't seen it - go rent it - or buy it if you want to be a manly man.
Rambo - how to re-vitalize an old school franchise
Indiana Jones - how to piss on fond memories for a few extra dollars

Rambo?
:lmao:
It was about as good as 'Rocky Balboa', which wasn't good at all IMO.

I didn't see Rocky Balboa (couldn't bear to see him with his shirt off :ohno: )
But Rambo was great! How could you not like it? Seeing someone at elevation with a 50 cal machine gun = win. Also it's not like 'The Usual Suspects' great, but in terms of bringing back a franchise (that wasn't exactly Citizen Kane to begin with) I think it was a great step in the right direction.
Now Indiana Jones attempt at getting back in the saddle? I think South Park summed it up best when they did the whole rape scenes with Lucas and Spielberg.

Haven't seen the new Indiana Jones movie yet.
But I did see Rambo. I thought First Blood and Rambo: First Blood Part II were good, considering Stallone's limited acting abilities.
Rambo though...pffft. It was mediocre at best IMO.
But what the fuck do I know, I thought 'Last Action Hero' was a good movie when everyone else thought it stunk to high heaven...

I half want to tell you to watch the latest Indiana Jones movie so you can understand me better. But then I have my reservations on advising you do that because I know the damage and mental scars it will cause if you sit through it. :(
Last Action Hero was fun, from what I can remember - but I'm telling you, the latest Indiana Jones is so bad it will make you second guess yourself if you ever have a chance to see the first three again. It's THAT bad. :ohno:

Think of your fondest childhood memory, perhaps of a loved one. Now superimpose a psychedelic clown anal raping the loved one while simultaneously curb stomping your pet dog.
You have been warned. :ninja:
This episode of Southpark sums it up nicely:

Sweet Jesus!
Thanks...
The new Rambo rocked! Fuck yeah. Turn off the parts of your brain that matter and let the waves of violence wash over your ever present primal brain. You'll have a great time.
Even my ex girlfriend loved it, though that could be more a measure her awesomeness and not the movie's.

Are you fucking serious?
Please be kidding. I mean there was NOTHING good about it.

Indiana Jones was alright, but I really didn't like the plot the directors and producers chose. El Dorado = Barf.

kill counts in the respective movies clearly showing that the OP states fact.

hahahaa That's awesome.
I knew there were other 'real men' on this site. :D
As for the guy that likes the new Indiana Jones movie - you should go kill yourself. Indiana Jones + UFO does not a good Indiana Jones movie make. Nevermind She-rah LaDouche playing a greaser toughguy.
Man that shit was painful.

problem with indy 4 that I had was the whole Shia Leboef and the knowledge he's the son... brings back darth vader memories but then backwards.
i didn't mind the alien story line, considering it was just as well done as the silly religious storylines of 1,2 and 3.
Rambo was "meh"

Needs more oddly shaped roided up veiny sex scenes.

No way, man! That was part of what made it even MORE badass.
Screw chicks. Screw sex. Screw all that. This is about blood. Killing. The desperate skin crawling screams of those clinging to that last second of life as their bowels are torn from their cozy confines by cold serrated steel. Chicks are nothing but distraction with sex as their lure. Real men kill. Weak men fuck.
On that note, I should probably admit that I'm a very weak man.

You better like Rambo, otherwise he'll come to your house and make you watch Indiana Jones IV (http://wisdomtree.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/rambo4-photo-01.jpg).

One of the funniest things I heard in a while was when that Typhoon hit Burma - and I was listening to the radio and this guy was like:
"The death toll in Burma is going to reach an estimated 100 thousand people"
<pause>
Other media guy chimes in:
"Someone needs to tell Rambo to get out of there and stop killing people!"
:lmao:
