Well I don't just want to go out and say it, so lets get some things strait first.

I was siting alone in my seat on the bus ride home from school. I sat there thinking about how awsome this game could be, the features, the community, the graphics. Then it hit me. Like cold blooded gun shot, BAM. I wanted to stand up, right there on the bus, and scream in agony. What atrocious idea just enterd my frail mind? The answer. What if? What if, it-it-it sucked. Just plain sucked, game failed completely. It went down hill, everbody quit, nobody would would try this idea again (although i would give Aventurine props for trying), people would scoff, and go back to WoW (yes, I know, classical WoW reference (but I think i'm speak for the whole genre)).

I've pondered this too. It scares me. I waited for Face of Mankind for a long time, but I think as long as Aventurine doesn't fuck everything up, it will be fine.

The more you hype yourself about anything the greater the chances are that that thing will not meet your expectations. Instead, look at what it offers, and what the alternatives are. AoC and WH failed imo, I'm simply hoping that DF will at the least be enjoyable. Anything over that will be a +....

I've thought of this too. If this were the case, I'd dive straight into Vanguard or quit MMOs all together.
