The Roleplaying 'Monks' Clan? Ideas inside...

A ____ Monk believes he may find enlightenment through the pretentious art of swordplay, self-discipline, restoration of the natural world, and keeping order and balance. The graceful and often extravagant motions portrayed in their personalized art of swordplay are meant to be seen as symbolism in reference to them “cutting down the obstacles ahead”, and "destroying both peace and chaos in a common goal to bring balance".

Fill in the blank with our monk type... perhaps we could find or invent a fake divine figure to follow.

Just thoughts, because I know I'll be roleplaying a traveling monk that has achieved enlightenment by following that. *Points up at description thingy*

I realize it... but why post it there when I'm not recruiting for a clan? That's just stupid and pointless. It's a Roleplaying idea, and there's more roleplaying traffic here.

My bad, I know it was late and I was sketchy. When people think of 'Monks' they probably think crazy old martial-artists or something, seeking 'enlightenment'...

Basically these monks would go out into the world and try to keep peace in Agon. Peacekeeping isn't a "clean" job. So they practice in specializing themselves with a sword, unarmed combat, and restoration/healing magic. That thing I wrote up there was just like a super-vague summary of pretty much, well, crap. I'll have to fix it later tonight to help clear the idea up...

I think it is a great idea, and my own plans lie rather close...but I rather not walk a spiritual path. But, I say one thing: idea is wonderful. Just make a Faith which is not too easy, but not too complex (complex ideas don't work well, strangely) and make sure your idea doesn't prevent you from enjoying game-content.

Yes, well, I hope that at least I would find a few people to corraborate on this with, and perhaps execute it with. Hate to admit it but I've been a bit off/on with the community so I've barely any friends... But just an update; I have been thinking this through some more during school and have been using study hall time to write some ideas... Not much else to do since all my stuff is easy. :P

A filthy old man in ragged clothes stumbles by. He is obviously drunk and singing loudly, a broken slurred mish mash. Stopping by this group of gathered people he bursts into a fit a coughing. Violent spasms heave his body and he hunches over. One more spastic dry heave and he loses his balance falling forward. He simply tumbles head over heels and stands straight upright for a brief moment before wobbling away and whistling his off tune melody.
