its ugly graphics , but a great story and very nice gameplay, ....a classic definetely worth of the time imo

This is the same as what I got, it has them all. If ure gonna play fallout 2, you might aswell play fallout 1 first. Graphics are the same, but it develops the story.

And yes, it's worth it. :)

the graphics and great for a isometric sprite based game, and the gore is amazing but also not over the top.

the fall out series is fantastic and most importantly.... FUN

I don't have anything against him other than he's a horrible troll who really should start looking at Villa's work if he seriously wants to be a good/great troll. It's even worse that he refuses to believe he is trolling in the first place.

FlamingAssDouche's threads are mainly repeats of threads less than weeks old.

At least Villa trolled with class and style and didn't present us with the mundane several times a day.

Villa was fun to flame and could take a joke as well as give one. FlamingAssDouche is just an annoyance to bother with flaming so i'll just settle to expose him for what he is, an attention whore n00blet.

I read it is turn based, is that like X-Com where you can't see the whole map and explore it little by little? Or is just the combat turn based?

Another old game that is awesome if you haven't ever seen or played it: Syndicate by the now defunct Bulldog.

Basically how it works is, that when an enemy sees you and decides to attack, it goes into combat turn mode and the enemy gets the first turn. However, you can also initiate combat mode by clicking a button on the interface, and you get to take your turn first. There's no transition into a combat environment like in some games; you just start shooting (or getting shot at). Otherwise, peaceful movement and exploration are real time.

As for how you see the map, your character has a certain view radius, and you can scroll past this and see the environment shrouded by fog of war in another larger, but still limited radius from the character.

edit: you can also play fallout 1 for free on gametap (http://www.gametap.com/play/gameDetails/000587850). You have to download and use their software, and it has to play a short video advertisement before starting the game but it doesn't really bother me.
